“YOU MET YOUR QUEEN” - Genevieve

Today (30th July 2015), I met Delta Goodrem, who I have practically worshipped since I was 10 years old. TWELVE YEARS GUYS. TWELVE. YEARS.

So anyway, I woke up, went to get dressed and my mind is like ‘what am I going to wear to meet the queen?’ like I never call her that BUT IT HAPPENED. And then w/e I get there, meet up with Charlotter (dyad--institute) and some other lovelies, and we wait in line for like 4 hours.  THEN FINALLY she came out, said hi, played Wings acoustically (which was beautiful and I got it on video, but the start is cut off so I hope someone else got the full thing bc I NEED IT. Then she played SOTOTW and I cried during both lmao Meet & Greets were next, at first they were rushing people through them it was like ‘hug & photo’ and then the security person would pull them away and you could tell Delta was getting pissed off about it, so then they gave each person more time lol.

THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WAS MY TURN and I was shaking and here’s the transcript of what I remember: Me: Hi! Delta: Hello [hug] M: Thank you so much for everything and sharing you music with (then I mumble us lmao) D: Thank you for being apart of it! [hug] M:I love you... that was weird I’m sorry D: IT’s not weird!! I love you too! [hug] [photo] M:Thank you!!

Then I picked my bag up off the floor and she was watching me and she goes, “This is a beautiful outfit! really beautiful!” and I said thank you and then she said “You take care of yourself” and I said “you too” LMAO OMg she looked worried about me and I think it’s because I was so nervous but holy shit that was life altering I love her so much

Then I walked off the stage and started crying And then watched Charlotte talking to her and then Charlotte came off of the stage crying and WOW it was so nice and her eyes are sO much more blue and clearer than in photos and she was staring into my soul like dumbledore or smth our faces were so close she’s so pretty and nice and is so gorgeous irl more so than on tv and photos and woowwowowowow I can’t deal rn I was shaking for a solid ten minutes after
