(kisses) After so long apart
Even after the centuries apart, they still fit together. The meeting of their lips felt so right. Surtalogi had forgotten the finer details, but no matter - Vedrfolnir enjoyed the aggressive display of affection. To be held so close, so tightly, the harsh meeting of lips expressing what Surtalogi would never voice. And he didn't need to. Vedrfolnir placed his hands on Surtalogi's shoulders and tried to repicrocate, but Surtalogi left barely an opening for him. Laughing, he turned his face away so Surtalogi's warm lips met his cheek.
"You kiss as if you plan to devour me."
"I have devoured star systems. What's a single prophet?"
Vedrfolnir chuckled and returned to place a kiss at the corner of Surtalogi's grin.
"Perhaps I want savored after these countless long years without you."
Surtalogi hummed and his next kiss was a mere peck.
"You'll need to remind me how."
Gladly. He would spend any number of minutes, any amount of time, loving Surtalogi and ensuring the man knew how loved he was.
Vedrfolnir cupped his cheek first; brushed his thumb over the scar under his eye. Then he leaned up into Surtalogi again. This meeting was gentle, the roughness of Surtalogi's lips a texture he'd missed. He took his time enjoying the sensations and Surtalogi soon followed his lead into something softer than before, lingering until they needed to part. A shared breath, and they returned again. Again. And again.
The hand placed on the small of his back was firm, gentle, and pulled him closer with barely any strength behind it.
"You remember how to be gentle."
"Only for you."
Vedrfolnir hummed and kissed the line of Surtalogi's jaw, down the length of his throat to rest his head on his shoulder with a sigh.
To be held again after so long... Wrapped in the safety of Surtalogi's arms, enveloped by affection he knew was afforded no one else... Vedrfolnir leaned heavier into the embrace, gently placing his own hands on Surtalogi's broad back. Surtalogi's chuckle was a gentle rumble; something long lost finally returned to him — as the man himself was.
"Comfortable?"
A hum and; "Tell me of your travels."
It had been far too long. And too soon - because any amount of time would be too soon - Surtalogi would return to the stars beyond the false sky.
