Using foldscope with my 3yo daughter inspecting things she found.

We built a lego mario course. She's been asking for lego Mario for months.

We also used a strong magnet outside and found some iron ore in the back yard.

It has been a productive day.

It’s finally here!!! I remember when I first read about this concept a few years ago. And now it’s a reality. A $0.50 microscope that can revolutionize disease diagnosis in the context of accessibility. This has the potential to bring microscopy to millions of people living in impoverished nations whose healthcare settings may not have the necessary diagnostic tools to accurately identify common diseases. And that’s only one possible application, the possibilities are truly endless.

I hope in the near future, humanity will be able to remove all barriers which prevent every single person in this world from getting proper medical care. This may only be a small step towards that goal, but it’s a vital one. After all, healthcare is a human right.
