I love these “it’s awkward being a villain around my mom” comics! They give off a lot of venture bros vibes from at the office casual attitude they have in villain work like how the guild of calamitous intent treats villainy.

It's been a long while since I've watched Venture Bros (still need to finish the last season and the movie but I should probably just rewatch all of it). The concept of hero/villain organizations being chill and being mundane is funny and has a lot of potential for comedy, especially when it comes to the lower levels of heroes/villainy.

With the awkward villain series I wanna focus on Dr Conquest's plans for world domination and how it's different from other egomaniacal villains with the same plan, his relationship with his mom and her normal life amongst the wild world of villains, Dr Conquest and his relationship with both other villains who want to do good but are labeled villains and villains who are actually evil, and finally Dynafusion's obsession with taking down Dr Conquest and other villains like him.

When Hilda tells David and Frida about her fairy heritage, the first thing that comes to both of their heads isn’t wondering what kind of magical power Hilda has. But instead finally getting a logical reason on why Hilda’s hair is blue because there is no evidence of it being a dye job.

I mean, once the fae was brought up to be important to Hilda, I was “ah, okay. That’s y. It wasn’t just an aesthetic thing”

Anytime Daryl gives June a gift on either their anniversary, her birthday, or Christmas the first thing that comes to her mind isn’t only that Daryl was very sweet and thoughtful to give her something special. But rather also asking if he got the gift legally and if not, did he at least made sure said gift isn’t tracked by whoever he got it from if their angry.

Granted that’s pretty much why he often prefaces not to ask questions about how he got something when he gives gifts to anyone in his life.

When the core died, did its minds go to the ghost world? If that’s a yes, did each mind became an individual ghost or did they appear as one giant hideous ghostly amalgamation of eyes and arms?

The Calamity siblings liking pineapple on pizza vs Azura and Anne hating it is a family feud that will never end. Tho’ to b fair, Azura is confusing earth pineapples with the Isles’ Painapples

Even though Azura doesn’t want to do illegal activities most of the time, it’s garunteed that she will say yes to one act of illegal activity and that’s vandalizing the statue of Philip Wittebane in gravesfield square. Lilly might be down too since there’s no statue of the core or andrias to vandalize so a statue of any tyrant might be a close second.

That’s assuming the Hexsquad didn’t vandalize it beforehand so bad that the town removed it. Just imagine the kind of witch/demon pranks they could pull

During his trips to earth, did grime happen to come across any recordings of the show “Bucky o’ hare”? If so, i imagine it be the same reaction on hop pop’s joke from dinner only the laughter is louder.

Unless there’s a reboot within the 10+ years since 2019, that’d b an old series and likely only Marcy would have a bootleg dvd of the show for which Grime watches at one point in his month-long stay at the Trio’s place on earth.

What belos said about the palisman nagging in his head back in hollow mind makes me think that when flapjack gave himself to hunter, flap jack continues to talk to him in his head. Like in dragon ball z abridge, how kami and nail continue to talk to piccolo in his head after fusing with him. Because of that, it makes me picture there would be situations that Hunter is doing something, flapjack makes comment about it in his head, then Hunter would respond out loud for everyone to to hear by accident, someone ask if their ok, and ends with either Hunter explaining his predicament or just saying “it’s nothing”.

Now I’m just thinking of that one old tumblr joke and Hunter is at a fast food place and is like “should I get the fries?”

Inner Flapjack: “Yes, you’ll need it to help with your strength for the upcoming trials”

Hunter: “Thanks inner voice…yes, I’ll take fries with that.”
