I have actually been reading quite a bit of Barry/David Singh? I'm still not sure I ship them exactly but I have been following an author on AO3 for a while (Kleine-snowdrop) because I saw them posting this ship I had basically never seen anywhere and I do admire how incredibly dedicated they are to filling this rarepair tag up. Some of their fics are really sweet too, I do enjoy them

10. What is your favourite non-English musical?

Ohhh....this is a bit of a blind spot for me I must admit. I like listening to some of the Maybe Happy Ending songs in Korean, and I had fun watching the Xcalibur musical proshot from 2019 in Korea but I never really went back to watch it again. BUT I REMEMBER THEIR MORGAN LE FAY WAS AMAZZZZINGGG!!

30. What’s a musical that’s grown on you since you first saw it or listened to it? What made you appreciate it more?

I think Sunday in the Park With George and The Band's Visit are the two shows where I don't think I quite got them on my first watch, and when I went back to watch them again I was like 'I get it now. This is awesome'. Though I ALWAAAYSSS loved their albums. I think sometimes if I listen to a musical album I start to make up a story in my head, and those two differed a lot from my brain plot, but once I understood what they were going for and adjusted expectations I loved them.

Magic was different in the north. Those who could use it were respected.

Central had feared magic once. It was why they had never seen eye to eye with her home. Why they had spent so long as enemies.

And then Hunter Zoloman had come to the throne, a magic user himself, and still his people were afraid of it. He used its fear to control them.

Caitlin could live with a husband who did not care for her.

She could not live with a king who refused to care for his people.

This is actually a fill for flufftober- day 14 Fantasy AU so as you can tell I'm definitely getting that one done on time, but in my defence I started it like 2 days before, wrote 5k, then it was the 14th and since I have been a little blocked? I think I figured out what to do while at work earlier though, I just wanted to get my gloves finished before I started writing, and they are now blocking on my desk so let's see how that goes.

It is a fluff fic. I just accidentally put plot in it and forgot allos don't need like a year to fall in love and the confusing myself trying to figure out a timeline and getting stuck on that bit was completely unnecessary, and also Hunter Zoloman being in it makes it sound like it shouldn't be a fluff fic, but I'm pretty sure someone's going to stab him by the end of this. That counts as fluff.

August is where the Writer's Month prompts are going! So far I have 4 written already and the notes for what to write for another three, and I'm pondering the rest still.

The most recent one I've written is the Weather Wizard tries to use acid rain to stop the Flash but Mark does not know what acid rain actually is idea from the other week. It is a ridiculous little fic, one of my favourite things to write. There are ducks in it and my favourite joke about acids

Caitlin/Barry, just because of all the other things that have gone on with how Iris gets treated in that

I'm not a huge fan of Harry/Cisco either, I'll read kitkatt0430's fics, and that sci fi au that was tagged space crime that I can no longer find, but generally I'll skip that if that ship is in the tags

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

Probably the same as the first above, the reason I have always avoided it is that group of fans, otherwise I might be curious enough to occasionally click on fics with interesting enough summaries

44. Tentative kisses given in the dark.

Someone was touching his arm.

Barry startled, fear rising-

"It's okay," Iris said. "It's me."

He blinked up at her.

"I think you were having another nightmare," Iris said. "I heard noises, but you were asleep."

Barry rubbed his eyes and sat up properly, moving over so Iris could sit on his bed next to him.

He sniffed.

"Is Joe..."

Barry trailed off, not sure if he really wanted Joe or not. Joe was looking after him, and Joe loved him, and Joe always came to sit with him after he had a nightmare, but Joe also didn't believe him about his dad.

"He's not home yet," Iris said gently. "But we can call him, if you want. He said we should."

Barry shook his head. This was the first night shift Joe had taken since bringing him home, calling him would just make Joe feel guilty about leaving them.

"Or Mrs Dean is still downstairs," Iris said, referring to the childminder Joe had insisted on calling so they weren't alone without an adult.

Barry wasn't sure if that was just because Joe was worried about them or because he thought Barry might try and run away again if there wasn't an adult there, but there wouldn't be any point, they would never let him into Iron Heights this late.

"I'm okay," Barry whispered, pulling his covers up to under his chin and curling up small. "I'll be okay. I'm okay."

"Do you want me to get you water or something?" Iris asked.

Barry shook his head.

"I just... I don't..."

"Do you want me to stay?" Iris asked.

Barry hesitated, then nodded and shuffled more as Iris slid under his covers with him.

She nodded, and paused, then pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek.

"I'm here," Iris said. "I'll look after you."

Barry nodded, and closed his eyes.

ghosts for the WIP ask game, please!

Probably the best to ask about, ghosts is taking up the vast majority of the imagination part in my brain right now.

The Flashvibe Ghost AU to give it its full name or possibly The Ghost of S.T.A.R. Labs, that's looking like it might be the final title, starts back in 2013, Cisco has just landed a job at S.T.A.R. Labs right before the accelerator switches on, and the very first thing he does is get lost.

Luckily, there's the really weird guy sitting in a lab who's more than willing to help Cisco, despite looking like he's recently been on fire. And then the weird guy shows up a few more times, seems to be unable to get out the front door, and then Cisco watches Doctor Wells literally reach through this guy's chest to open a door

Barry's been dead for six months. No one else has been able to see him. Everyone else walks straight through him. He's never met Cisco before and neither of them know why Cisco is the only person that can see him, but Barry is trapped and doesn't have anyone else he can ask, so Cisco guesses it's up to him to help Barry finish his unfinished business and find out who really killed Nora Allen.

“Look, I get it,” the ghost said. “And I understand if the answer is no, but I can’t do this on my own and you’re the only person who can see me. There has to be a reason for that. Help me, Cisco, you’re my only hope.”

Cisco blinked.

“You were wearing a Star Wars t-shirt on your first day,” the ghost said.

“You’re a ghost,” Cisco said in a hushed whisper. “How do you know what Star Wars is?”

“Dude, I’m a ghost, I’m not ancient,” the ghost said, sounding almost offended. “I was born in 1989, obviously I know what Star Wars is.”
