Thoughts on “the last great dynasty” I think this was inspired by the Kennedys and how the tabloids talked about Taylor and Connor. That she didn’t feel like she fit.
The tabloids also went on about how she bought a house near them...
I think these two ideas blended into this song and imagining what it would have been like to marry into the rich and formal ideas of old money when you are new money. And how it correlates to how she can see herself there and living that life. Which is why she then changes it to being about her buying it and having the Fourth of July parties. That she and this trailblazer are kindered spirits.
