Eclipse's job is how he bought all the presents and packages he got for Sun and Moon back in Toy for Moon. That was back when was trying to be cool and mysterious so he didn't tell Sun about his job because he was worried it would sound boring and not cool.

It’s been years since I read the books, so I’ll admit Xeno became a bit less unhinged in my memory over that time. So yeah, I’ll agree they might not be compatible for the long term, but I still think there’s potential for something. I can see Severus, who barely anyone has shown genuine affection towards in his life, being drawn to Xeno who – I believe – would just accept him for how he is. I can see a scenario as you mentioned, where he keeps ending up at Xeno’s house despite telling himself he’s never going back to that idiot, but that idiot is also one of the very few people that’s not like, completely horrible to him or manipulating him for their own use etc. (I guess this would then be a during-the-war scenario).

And also I just think it’s very funny to imagine him falling for someone against his will and better judgement lmao. It’s something outside of his control, and he’d hate it so much. The denial would be so strong. But I’m willing to accept that I might be veering into OOC territories there for sure.

They could definitely be mad scientists together though, as per the comments on the other post 😂

And I think you're right: Xenophilius would really like Severus since he's also a misfit and be super nice and encouraging to him. He'd compliment his style, his taste, his love for the Dark Arts and provide him with surprisingly good conversation from time to time. And sure, Xenophilius would never try to use him. He sounds like a very bad liar as well (he struggled to lie efficiently to the Golden Trio if I remember correctly). Severus wouldn't feel in danger at all.

For a during-war scenario, going to see Xenophilius (for whatever Order/DE reason) would feel either like a chore or time off. It would depend on Xenophilius's mood and recklessness. Either very pleasant or very infuriating.

Also I think Xenophilius's attempt at flirting would be so painfully cringe it'd be funny.

And we have two options: either Xenophilius is a sex god or is absurdly bad at it. There's no in-between.

People push back against certain interpretations I have, or have different ones, and I welcome that. I often widen my understanding because of it. This has been my approach since I first joined the T7S fandom in 2010. Lots of great debates on the ol' message board that changed my perspective and made me aware of character and story subtext I hadn't thought of before.

I believe you didn't consciously intend your first ask to be hostile, but the expression of your opinion came across as a personal attack rather than focusing on the facts of the show (e.g., a character's dialogue and actions, etc.)

Your reaction (i.e. follow-up ask) to my response to your first ask matches the same assumptions about me in your first ask with "facts" that aren't in evidence.

I can control only what I say, not how people interpret it, but I am sorry if any of my words may have hurt or angered you.
