it had been 13 days, 11 hours and 47 minutes since buck had last seen eddie (not that he was counting). in that time, he'd organized and re-organized his closet, repainted his living room and watched several in depth tutorials on how to knit a beanie for a baby (with niece number two on the way, buck was determined to have the favourite uncle title, thank you very much.)

so yeah, maybe buck was missing eddie a tad.

it wasn't often that eddie went to visit his parents in texas, so when he announced his trip to buck, it caused him to pause for a moment or two. but, as eddie explained, his therapist (a lovely woman named patricia) thought it may be a good idea for him to pay them a visit and get things off of his chest. and buck was so incredibly full of love and pride for his boyfriend, so he kissed him passionately and told him to go, of course he did. but now? with less than a day to go, buck was over it. not even the reruns of friends on the tv were keeping his attention.

he let out a dramatic sigh to himself, picking at the peeling label on his beer bottle before hearing a knock on the door. assuming it was the chinese takeout he'd ordered, he swung himself off of the couch and meandered over to the door. "hey man, how much do i o-" the words died on his tongue as his brain registered what - or who - was on the other side of the door.

eddie fucking diaz. son of a bitch.

"hi, honey!" he teased, stepping over the threshold into buck's apartment. "i'm home." home. the word slid across buck's skin like silk. he blinked silently, closing the door and turning back towards eddie, who tilted his head and furrowed his brow slightly, looking all kinds of attractive and so enticing. suddenly, buck needed to be as far into eddie's personal space as he could get. "buck?"

buck quickly closed the distance between them, cupping eddie's cheeks and pulling him in for a searing kiss. there was nothing soft about it - it was all tongue and teeth and buck was making it his personal mission to map out every square inch of eddie's mouth. eventually, they had to part for air. chest heaving, lips kiss swollen and face flushed, eddie had never looked more beautiful to buck.

"i- what was that for?" eddie asked, blinking rapidly up at buck. buck simply smiled, elated to have eddie back where he belonged. he leaned forward to rub the tips of their noses together until they were both grinning widely, laughing quietly, something just for the two of them.

"welcome home." buck murmured, the words wrapping around them both like a cocoon. as long as they had each-other and chris, they'd never have to wonder about home again.

I swear i feel like i just wrote a post thanking you guys for your all your love and support, but here i am again! you are all amazing i appreciate each of you more than you realise and if we’re mutuals, you know truly how much this means to me!!! to all the people that have followed me recently, i love love love youuuu! will go around and check your blogs soon!

follower celebration - here’s how it’s gonna go down

oh my gosh we made it

First of all: thank you guys so so much. As I said (wrote?) before, I’m shocked and honored to have reached this milestone so thanks for putting up with whatever experimental crap I spew at your dashes. Y’all are awesome.

Anyways, I tried to take suggestions into account, and this is what I came up with for the follower celebration:

1. Between today and May 5, send me an ask with a one-word prompt (it can be about absolutely anything, as long as it’s “safe for work”).

2. After the submissions close, I’ll put together a story combining all of those prompts. I promise I will genuinely try to write a decent story from the prompts, although not that it will be done in a timely manner. But what else is new?

I’m not planning to reveal all of the prompts until after the deadline, when I publish the actual story, BUT if you guys would rather that I reveal each prompt as they’re sent so you can build off of (or away from) other prompts, let me know!

I thought it would be fun to do a prompt game where we’re all sort of writing a story together, because the writeblr community has been so supportive of everything I’ve written and I cannot say how much I’ve appreciated you guys actually taking the time to read my writing. It’s amazing.

a small follower celebration!

josh’s slightly overdue 50 followers celebration! i’m seeing people with hundreds and i’m just here posting a mediocre something once every few weeks and a little over fifty followers. 

i’ve never done one of these before but have been in one of the longest and worst bits of writer’s block lately, so here’s some stuff you can do:  

-- send 🪐 + a few words and i’ll write a song for you! (just lyrics--i can’t do anything with melodies.) 

-- send🧃 + a song and i’ll write a poem vaguely based on it! 

-- send 🎆 + a name (yours, an oc’s, anyone’s) and i’ll make a short playlist and/or moodboard from the vibes i get from it! 

anyone can do this, but please don’t send more than one! i’ve been also swamped with schoolwork lately, so it might take a bit for me to get back to them. i just wanted to do something kinda fun and make up for not posting any writing in weeks. thanks for sticking around! i love you guys.

So I recently hit 700 followers!!! and I've been wanting to get back into editing anyway, so it’s EDIT REQUEST TIME (!!!) So what that means is that you can request any of the following types of edits:

- CHARACTER AESTHETICS: you can request any stranger things (or not) character that you want and I will make aesthetics for them (you can check my previous posts to get an idea). You can also request a certain season or movie for that character also. You can also pick your favorite quote to add on.

-THEMED CHARACTER AESTHETICS: it is very similar to the above character aesthetics, except you can pick a theme for the character. That can be ANY theme you want!

-CHARACTER MOODBOARDS: this can also include your favorite actors. For moodboards, it’s like character aesthetics just a different setup, I can also write a little blurb too. You can pick a theme or color or something that just seems to fit in your mind, it’s up to you!

-SOMETHING TOTALLY UNIQUE: just a random edit you think would be cool!
