This monstrosity of a fic had me binge reading for two days straight. WWXs genius, LWJ in all his protective nature and their badassery combined with my love for science kept me hooked. They mixed novel elements within the work which I loved; it's always wonderful to see authors interpretation of things such as Guanyin temple, LXC's unwavering loyalty for JGY, the junior quartert! Still haunted by the dead, his own secrets, and his failing relationships; still cursed for the red eyes he sometimes wears. An unplanned occurrence shakes him from the stupor that his life has become. But the dangerous thing about wakeful eyes is that they sometimes land on things that they weren't looking for. - Old Summary (to help find fic/story still same): Cultivators say that Wei Ying is a monster, and he's beginning to agree. But that's ok so long as his family is safe, that will always be the most important thing. Unplanned pregnancy, intrigue, mob mentality, mysterious past/abilities. Siblings live, Jiang Cheng is a good brother, Jin Zixuan is alright to. Diverging AU, combo Mo Dao Zu Shi (novel) and The Untamed (spinoff TV show). Canon typical violence. LZ/WWX.

I'd like to rec a fantastic new fic on ao3. It's so good, diverging au set during bm days and starts just before jin ling's 100 days. The imagery is vivid and great worldbuilding. Love that wwx also has established relationships with more than just jc in the Jiang sect - like there are other disciples there too who know wwx and have their own opinions of him. Summary: Jin Ling wishes that Jingyi was here. He would know how to handle a situation like this. He knows about the significance of the forehead ribbon. Jiujiu had spent a whole dinner lecturing about it. From what Jiujiu told him, touching it is extremely inappropriate and removing it was akin to seeing a woman in a state of undress. Ruining her virtue and destroying any prospects of a good marriage. Knowing all that… There had to be some kind of loophole, right? Or does he really have to marry Sizhui after tonight. or: After an assassination attempt and a shitty night hunt, Jin Ling finds himself stuck in a cave with a knocked out and injured Sizhui. Which would be fine and easy to manage if it wasn't for the fact that said Lan has a head wound. What the fuck is the proper protocol for dealing with a knocked out Lan with a bleeding head wound that could only be treated properly if you removed that damn forbidden head ribbon?
