Suitors II Aurora and Eric (AU)
The kingdom had but one daughter. She had once been betrothed to a prince, but due to fighting between the two kings, the plan fell apart before the princess was even old enough to open her eyes.
On the day of her birth, she was both bestowed gifts and cursed. The king decided that he wanted to spend the years he had with his beloved daughter. However, when she turned of age the suitors began to line up, and the king agreed that Princess Aurora needed to live the fullest life she was able to before her sixteenth birthday.
The suitors came from far and wide, but Aurora turned them down. They didn't have it. The spark that she was looking for. The familiarity and trust she craved. Still, she didn't disagree to seeing the suitors. surely one of them would have it.
On this particular day, a prince from across the sea had arrived, escorted by his butler, Grimsby. His name was Eric. As he entered the throne room Aurora had to admit that there was something about his dark hair and foreign clothes that she found charming.
She gave him a curtsy as he approached. "Hello Prince Eric. It is nice to make your acquaintance."
