I have come to realize how much my values are important to me. When my values are threatened, that is when I have been or become most unhappy. When living, working, and breathing my values, I feel aligned and have a tremendous sense of inner peace. And a great sense of joy, excitement, and fulfillment.
What are some of the values you live by or feel deep in your heart and soul?
You are highly against and outraged about the yulin festival but things like Thanksgiving or the pig slaughter (matança do porco) are fine for you? Then you suffer from one of the most common "diseases" nowadays. Cognitive dissonance with a pinch of hypocrisy. There is no difference between a dog, a turkey or a pig. You are the one creating that difference. Because all of them are affectionate, intelligent and create special bonds. All of them love, fear and want to live. They are sentient beings, therefore, no difference, besides your so called culture that accepts the slaughter of one and not the other. Before criticizing other people /cultures, look at yourself. Are you in a position to truly point your finger? Do you have the morals to do it? By the way, how can you be thankful for life, while celebrating Thanksgiving, when you take lives while doing so? How can killing be celebrated? Appreciate and celebrate live. Don't kill. Love. Let live.
