Probably because Elden ring dlc trailer, but wanted to say one of my favorite things I remember and like to think about on the relationship of gascoigne and Viola and all that came from a podcast. Bonfireside Chat is a podcast that talks about the souls games through their levels. They naturally did bloodborne and talked about each level in 2 part episodes with some guests. They talked about central Yharnam and the reaction to gascoignes daughter and the reveal he is her father and he murdered his wife in his decline to madness. And one of the guests said they really liked the way the little girl spoke about her fathers deteriorating condition. That she talks about it ‘like it was explained to her in a way a child can understand.’ That it’s a problem in this household that has been identified as a serious problem but they’ve decided to ‘work around it.’ In a way that is reflective on other turbulent relationships or detrimental conditions between two people who still care about and love each other.
