A Warm Meal (ao3)
After Kageyama's parents leave him alone at home, he's forced to get himself a job. Lucky for him, he's alright at cooking and there's a woman who needs someone to cook for her children when she works night shifts. Not-so-lucky for him, that woman turns out to be Hinata's mom.

Kageyama's always sucked at compliments, and Hinata knew that. He also knew Kageyama only tossed for people who were essential to winning, and without any praise to go off, he's afraid Kageyama doesn't think he's worth tossing for. Naturally, it all goes to shit one day.
Now, Kageyama has to learn how the fuck do compliments work, which is a lot harder than one would think, mind you.
