magic gone wrong* : muse a knows nothing about witchcraft so when they buy a trinket and a ‘spell’ book from a local shop as decoration, they didnt really didnt bother to ask any questions. a drunk night and a couple of ‘fake’ spells later, they find out that their spell had pulled a character straight from their favorite book/comic. alternatively: muse a being pulled into another world
we’ve been here before : since the first time theyve met, fate has never been on their side. they were not soulmates, they were never meant to be yet instead of finding anyone else, they keep finding each other. life after life, century after century. they dream of their past, the universe never lets them last yet they never seem to learn their lesson. maybe this time one of them will.
stuck with you* : muse a saw something they were not supposed to, muse b is an infamous assassin who was given the choice between baby sitting or prison. now theyre both stuck playing house in a suburbia with new names, a white picket fence, nosy neighbors and all while trying not to kill each other. with the assassins enemies and the those trying to capture the only eye witness, they will have to work together to survive.
devil on your doorstep : the problem with a bleeding heart is that its nothing short of naive. the villain shows up on the other persons doorstep, barely alive and can hardly move. muse b takes them in, unaware of who they are, trying to care for them in their time of need. even if the villain doesnt like being helped, they have a place to lay low and recuperate. feelings arise, a sense of belonging and home. soon the villain doesnt want to leave but has no idea how to tell the other who they are.
death sucks* : muse a wakes up dead, with little memory of what happened to them. they shouldnt have died and they cant find their body. muse b is special, dabbles in magic or just happens to be someone whos cheated death before. muse a realizes muse b can see them and threatens to haunt them until they find out what happened to them. murder is messy but so is falling in love with a dead person.
never a disappointment : they met on a random night, one was drunk, the other was a good samaritan who broke someones nose to protect them. they click but dont exchange numbers. every other week or so, in one mess or another, they run into each other and its always under the strangest circumstances. soon they agree to be the others ‘get out of jail’ card. flat tires, bad dates, holiday parties, no hot water, nursing a broken heart, the other is phone call away. the only rule? no expectations.
* - can be platonic
clarke specific plots.
weapon x project ( mcu ) : all it took was one bad day, meeting the wrong person and everything changed. clarke is plucked from her life and unwillingly put into a experiment program. her patient thought they were doing her a favor, she got to be ‘special’. when shes dropped back into her life, she has extraordinary healing abilities, at least, on a good day. any strong emotions and she can just as easily halt or reverse the bodys natural healing.
it was all a dream ( t100 ) : end of simulation. clarke and the others wake up on tables, hooked up to monitors and computers in a lab. their shared experiences was a simulation they were payed by the government to participate in, to see what would happen to humanity should nuclear war or climate change force them to leave earth. all the traumas were computer generated and cataloged. now they have to go back to their normal life. what exactly is normal?
alternate universe ( any ) : literally any plot where one person is wakes up in a world where everything has shifted. instead of a doctor, clarke is an assassin for hire or working for the bad guys. instead of a coming down on the ark, she met the arkers as a ‘grounder’. and vise versa for the other muse. could just be a ‘what if’ role switch or the entire world flipped on its head. but only one person knows its wrong.
