I was talking about J.R.R. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis with my brother, and started going into how Lewis put things like the lamppost and Santa in Narnia to spite Tolkein and my brother says
"And then Mrs. Claus tricks children with candy."
And I learned today that he thought the White Witch was Mrs. Claus and that the whole "always winter never Christmas" bit was some sort of revenge for a nasty breakup.
Get ready to feel old... The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was released fifteen years ago today.
