Hey sorry to bother you, I was just wondering, do you use the airbrush for the lines in the gemsona picture too? and also do you have any advice for drawing backgrounds? I'm terrible at it, but yours are gorgeous *-* I'm watching the speedpaint at the moment, your art is so gooooood

Yeah, I did the lines with the same settings as shown here.

I collect a lot of reference material for backgrounds and use like 10% of them but it’s good to have them around somewhere lol. I didn’t need to use reference for the picture of Rho and Sunstone, ‘cause I’ve drawn a similar background soooo many times… So yeah, eventually you won’t need a refence, duh. Draw so, so, SO much.

Also tutorials are awesome, ‘cause you find new (often easier/more effective!) ways of doing stuff so yes, check tutorials out. Here are two cool ones for example:
