4. Movie of the year?
A local movie entitled "Only We Know" for good and bad reasons. I originally thought that the writer-director and the production house were so brave to explore a theme that's not usually tackled on mainstream media in the Philippines. And then the ending just left me feeling gaslit by the movie, LOL. It inspired me to write an alternate storyline though, so that's a great outcome, right? If only I had the discipline to finish it. 🫠
5. TV show of the year?
SUCCESSION, hands down! Primarily because it gave me nostalgia (and PTSD!!!) from the life I had before my retirement from corpo. But also, the insane amount of time I spent analyzing this show—it really felt like a full time job at some point. I have a couple of pages on the blog already just talking about this show!
10. Something that made you cry this year?
I took the time last week to write down everything I'm grateful for this 2025, and that left me bawling because it made me realize how overwhelmingly positively different my life has been since I decided to step away from the life I thought I would live until I turned 65. I felt affirmed that I made the right decision for me, even though I got so many raised eyebrows for this choice. I'm crying again as I write this!!!
12. Talk about a new friend you made this year
I've talked about her a lot in my reflections this year, LOL. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out, although that comes with so much bias because I started out so ridiculously attracted to her (I've calmed down a little bit, but I still have a crush on her). To say the least, she has led me down a self-work path that I would otherwise not have gone through if not for a gesture she did that shook me to the core.
22. Favorite place you visited this year?
One of my older friends invited me to his wife's birthday (where I met the new friend in the previous question), and he hosted it in this unbelievably opulent penthouse that he and his business partners own. I thought I understood rich people and luxury when I was working my old corpo job—until I saw this penthouse. There was a poker table surrounded by a ten Secretlab gaming chairs. It had a cigar and movie room with an LED screen that took over an entire wall. It had walls and walls of collectibles that I couldn't even put a price tag on, and they had a Versace dining table set that would've looked tacky if I saw it in another home, but it went perfectly well with the rest of the penthouse.
It's a favorite for me, not because of the place itself, but because I would've never otherwise thought my friend to be so, so humble and immensely kind in every sense of the word. He is clearly a lot richer than I originally thought he was, but he never once made me feel like he was a better or different person than me. AND his out-of-this-world generosity suddenly made a lot of sense. I felt honored to be called his—and after that evening, his wife's—friend, and I haven't even added any value to their lives just yet.
23. If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be?
"Your imagination is pretty crazy, but there's no way you could've imagined how this year would pan out for you. You're in for such a treat, and I hope you learn to just enjoy and be grateful for the good things coming your way."

Wasn't it a bit LATE to worry about moans and getting caught? Ghostface was on the loose and Jill was still waiting for Kirby to get back upstairs to continue SHAUN OF THE DEAD. Deputy Hicks also just so happened to be mid-rounds, and Katie, Jill's mom, was always at large. They were RUNNING OUT OF TIME. And Kirby's shirt was still hanging from her elbows, black bra on display as one hand perched against Sidney's hip, pulling her close, lips pressed up against that SEXY COLLARBONE as her spare hand traced the older woman's HOT AF SCARS with her fingertips. Teeth scraped and she whined out playfully, pouting and giving Sidney the PUPPY DOG EYES. "But where's the fun in that? Come on we might all die tonight, so let's live like there's NO TOMORROW." Eyes held Sid's own as Kirby bit her lips and licked at her teeth, waiting for PERMISSION. "'Sides, weren't you the one telling me to SUCK ON YOUR NECK." Granted, it had been Kirby's idea to break out the WINE COOLERS. (Wine coolers she was SUPPOSED to have taken back upstairs to Jill -- OOPS.)
Hi Mizu, my headcanon for you & sakusa is that he has an entire album on his phone with just pictures of you. Actually he has multiple, all organized either according to year or trips & he has a separate one for just pictures of you & your dog. He definitely took most of them while you’re both napping on the couch or on the bed because he just thinks it’s so adorable the love of his life & your little fur-child all bundled up & so peaceful 🥺. There are also a couple of videos in there whenever your dog starts dreaming & is just huffing & puffing while asleep just to get your reaction 💕. He also has a habit of going through all the photos & videos whenever he’s away & right before he’s about to fall asleep, because your face is the last thing he wants to see at the end of the day <3 (this only applies if you don’t fall asleep during a FaceTime call hehe)

siiigh. chloe bc she’s my precious sunshine adorable flirty inner angst baby. i relate to her more in the sense that i want people to view me that way, as opposed to beca’s emotional incapability and self doubt sometimes, which i also relate to. i want to be chloe so i guess i choose her over becs. (i love anna kendrick tho. don’t forget that.)

jesse and beca if i HAVE to choose (bc you’re sick) bc… well. because. we can clearly see beca’s distress in the last minutes of pp3 and i always laugh when chloe goes “where is beca? i thought she was with you?” like okay chloe, there’s a higher chance of her being blushy around you than out doing whatever with jesse.
