Incandescence

Fear has taken hold.

Its been hard to keep it at bay, shining a beacon of hope in the night’s all consuming dark. Lighting a small flare to try and keep people’s, and my own, eyes off the floor that is (soon to be) littered with remains.

But the sky breaks apart its cloudy cover and reveals to us the stars. The moon comes back, a guardian angel made of fine white dust, powdery in its reflection of our burning Star. It guides us forward as best it can, and so, too, shall I. So, too, must we, as it reflects the sun down, reflect towards each other.

A great prism of trapped incandescence. A burning beacon of hope.

Shine your lights upon each other, for Dawn shall break soon.
