dude the tags on the shorts pics hhhh… he really did/does refuse to dress like a grown up and it’s gotta have something to do with his childhood trauma like he won’t grow up until someone treats him like the sweet (evil) little boy he is and he’ll keep kicking over the blocks and throwing tantrums

YEAH like, Bert being so incredibly adamant that he Will Not Wear Long Pants has genuinely haunted me for the better part of a decade.

He simply refuses to grow up because that means accepting what he's been told adulthood is, and staying an eternal Troubled Youth(TM) in a rock band is the only way he can see to actually live a life he considers worth living. Which I am totally capable of being normal about, obviously. I am so normal about it.

And while he's a troubled youth, of course he's gonna throw a couple of tantrums and do a couple of dumb things. That's just what kids do, right?
