@poison-is-the-cure has sniped me I Cannot stop thinking about this. 2003, their first time in London (?their first time overseas at all). Performing at the Astoria, which The Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, and Radiohead all notably did performances at (the first two available on DVD, so I'm sure the brothers had seen them a million times).

So the Astoria herself is familiar, but they're in London and it's a whole other world too, one they've been dreaming of for a lifetime. One that still doesn't quite feel real, no matter how many times they pinch themselves. So when they come offstage full of the stage rush that never gets old, and Mikey shoves Gerard halfway down a hall to kiss them, G doesn't have to push him away. Doesn't have to be the good big brother that they've tried so hard to be all these years (knowing full what those looks mean but refusing to see them. Refusing to let themselves look in return) -- this is like a dream, right? Dream rules have to apply.

And they've wanted their brother for so long.

So it's okay to kiss Mikey back, okay to press him against the wall and kiss him until he's breathless with it. It's even okay to take him back to the hotel room (a luxury on this tour) and take your time breaking him apart until all he can remember is the sound of your name.
