I just finished the Megop visual novel, and I loved it.

Will there be more in the future? Or one that explains the pornography that Maximus and Passionwheels made?

I doubt I'll make another visual novel for that particular au (especially given it was perictione's work originally and they haven't written anything more for it either). And I'm afraid I'm not interested in making an explicit vn.

However, I'll never say never to making more visual novels in general, there just needs to be a combination of interest/time/energy that hasn't quite struck me for Transformers recently.

A better Megatronus sprite - this time he has arms!

Just like in Quarantine I’m going to have to manually flip all his sprites because he’s so asymmetrical (blasted fusion cannon), but that’s his non-mirrored sprites all done - which means I’ve got approximately half the sprites for the VN done!

Half the sprites, 1 background, and 1 CG to go.

Hello screenshot tracing, my old friend.

It’s funny, about half the time when I’m looking over TFP for screenshots I can picture the scene I want perfectly. If I need a character from the waist up at a particular angle or a certain simple background, I can usually narrow it down to a few minutes of footage to poke through fairly easily.

On the other hand, if I’m trying to get good shots of characters arms at the right angle or specific background pictures without anyone in the way, it starts to get harder.

The last scene of Forbidden Rendezvous is set inside the Autobot Outpost Omega One (Ao3, ha!) and trying to find a nice wide shot of the whole thing (so I didn’t have to faff around with proportions) was an interesting challenge. Thankfully there’s a bit at the end of Con Job where Wheeljack and Makeshift are fighting and I could take a succession of screenshots to mostly remove them from my reference images. Like so:

(The white lines are my start at tracing. I’ll change them to dark grey later, but it’s hard to draw grey on grey, especially with the edges being soft.)

Comparatively, the outside of the outpost is shown pretty much every episode - the only reason I know I grabbed this one from Sick Mind is because I left a subtitle in.

And I finally reveal which fic I’ve been converting: Forbidden Rendezvous by @perictione.

Server has very little by way of physical description, so it was an interesting challenge to try and design a Cybertronian from scratch. The torso came out a bit more G1 than TFP, but I think it all looks ok together.

Still got a bunch of backgrounds and sprite work to do!

Unfortunately it looks like the workaround I was using for making Android distributions doesn’t work anymore (I’m guessing switching computers is the main issue), so that version is going to be a bit delayed. Should still have windows/mac/linux versions up and running in the next few days, barring a major catastrophe.
