So I came across Lindsey Ellis's "Dear Stephanie Meyer" on youtube, uploaded january 2018. Her message is that Twilight was unfairly attacked just for being a slightly silly and non-self-aware wish fulfillment fantasy marketed toward women. I just want to ask you, who seem to be part of the resurgent Twilight fan community if you're familiar with that video, and if indeed it began the idea that it's okay to like Twilight again.

i saw the video a while ago but i dont think its what started making twilight ‘’likeable’’ again or began the idea. i found myself agreeing with most of it, back then twilight was hated bc it was a self-insert (like men dont do that with their male characters all the time? lmao whatever) 

nowadays tho i dont think twilight is unfairly hated, i think there are a lot of valid reasons to not like it. it’s racist, extremely so. and the writing choices can be downright objectively bad, like breaking dawn? such a mess 

i know i went off of what your question originally was i just didnt want ppl getting the wrong idea about what i think is good/bad about the series. i wholeheartedly understand why ppl dont like the twilight saga these days, but make sure you point out actual flaws instead of saying something like ‘she’s a mary-sue, she’s stupid’ etc

Hey, so Overwatch has a new playable character. Can you look at her and tell me she doesn't look like Ash?

yep she does lol, and her face looks exactly like every other overwatch girl too (dont call me out i know paladins does this too i just think its funny). also her ult? ‘rally’? with a flag image? hmmm, seems like ash to me. the ult only gives her team armor and makes her faster, why are ow ults so boring. maybe one day overwatch will look like an appealing game

I got killed by an Androxus player and I swear in the killcam he finished me with a melee attack?? Can we do that now?

Androxus’s right click is a punch now so yes, you can punch people as Androxus. Only Terminus (primary), Androxus (alt fire), and Zhin (Counter, arguably because you have to be right in front of them to actually deal damage) are champs with a melee skill. No one else has a melee.

Do you think Seris has normal eyes under that hood and blindfold? Or would you only gaze into the abyss if she took it off?

Could be both, honestly! I personally think she does have eyes, but who knows? Maybe looking into them is a bit “unsettling” to put it mildly.

There’s a lot we don’t know about the Abyss; but the two people associated with it - Androxus and Seris, but cover their face to at least some extent. It’s possible there is a specific reason for that outside of mere masking of identity.

HC where Evie's mom has the same Stick-It-To-The-Man attitude as Evie. I want Evie's mom to be a Cool Edgy Mom who used to be really rebellious but has gotten a little out of touch with what the kids are doing these days. She's where Evie gets her attitude from. They get along really well, actually, despite the fact that Evie doesn't like to talk about her family with other champions.

While this is all good, I think we should remember that Evie isn’t born immortal, which means neither are her parents unless they also happened to forcefully bind their souls to another angry ice wraith. Evie’s been alive a long time, an chances are her parents are both dead or at the very least very old. That is not to say that old women can’t have Stick-It-To-The-Man attitudes!

So, I just got Infernal Seris, and I was in a game with her, and I swear when you're firing her primary it sounds like somebody going "needhealingneedhealingneedhealing". Is it just my ears playing tricks on me, or could it be that Hi-rez mixed in the screams of dying teammates with the audio for the infernal soul orb?

I don’t think any of us mods have Infernal Seris after we expressed are great dislike for the skin and it’s voice pack, so we can’t really help you in this field! I’ll try to listen out if I do get matched with someone with the skin though!

Do you think that Maeve likes to pocket a few random trinkets from the spawn room before every match?

Most definitely. Stuff goes missing from the spawn room all the time, and most of the time it’s Maeve’s, Drogoz’s and Barik’s fault. They can’t help it, especially if you leave all this fancy stuff lying around. They’re bound to nick a few things for themselves. Especially if they’re doing Payload. Half the cart will be empty by the time they’re out the doors.
