My favourite romance trope was enemies to lovers, but then I read the captive prince trilogy, and that's like an ENTIRELY different genre, and the HATRED in the beginning is soooo good, it had me HOOKED
Damen and laurent are perfect, and laurent deserves the world. He's an icon, he's legend, and he is the moment. And damen is the sweetest, i Iove them sm
Also, I've NEVER, in my entire life, hated a character more than the regent. The hatred I still have for him is unmatched, I wanted (and want) to smash his head in with a hammer, and that's putting it lightly
If you don't like vore then GTFO but if you do,enjoy
I whimper slightly at the sound of heavy rain falling, water pooling up and rising towards me.My instincts are screaming at me to get to cover when I notice a shelter entrance,a relieved sigh escapes my maw as I slither into the tunnel. My head breaches into the enclosed cave first as I focus on pulling myself into the alcove and when I fully slither in the door closes behind as I ready to wait out the rain but as I lie there I hear a sharp inhale and quickly look up to see a white slugcat brandishing a spear towards me with a look of fear on its face.I quickly jump up,but instead of fighting I raise my two front paws. These things are durable and one with a spear would be major threat in such a close quarters.I motion outside and back up to the very far wall from it.It motions for me to leave so I try to speak to it stating"Please,I just want to escape the rain can I stay until it stops"It freezes and thinks for a moment, shakily it gently says"A-alright but don't try anything funny"I raise a paw and put one on my chest stating"Would'nt dream of it"We sit in silence for 30 or so minutes before she pulls out a bat and begins to eat it,after a moment I guess she notices how I'm looking at the bat because she stops for a moment and asks"Do you want one?"I quickly nod.She pulls out another bat and carefully steps towards me,dropping it at my feet before jumping back.I drop down and tear into the food.
After a couple of hours,me and her get to know eachother.Turns out her name is Faith, and she is currently trying to find her way back home after getting lost during a hunt.I slowly find myself enjoying her company and I barely even notice when the rain stops or when she puts her spear away."And that's how I escaped from the centipedes, they were to stupid to follow me up"I snicker at the latest bit of trouble she has gotten herself into when I hear something moving behind me so I quickly shoot up and see her grab her spear when I hear a hissing voice say"Oh hello there Aila, got yourself a slugcat did ya"I let my voice have its natural hiss and bring my tone a more eager one"Yes,Micrux but I just gotta finish it up,see you outside"He laughs and says"Oh but sis,you misunderstood I want that slugcat"I let my voice get a bit colder"Oh yes,I guess that changes everything now doesn't it"He stops and quickly says"W-wait I m-m-mispoke,what I meant to say was........uh,I want to watch you eat it"With a large level of fear.I nod before walking towards faith, once closer to her I mutter"Cover your eyes"Before shooting a burst of spit at her.Her spear is sent flying as I leap towards her and begin shoving the slugcat into my mouth, she takes a second to realize what's happening, which I'm grateful for because it gives me time to cover her in sticky saliva and swallow her down.A wonderful taste fills my mouth, she tastes both sweet and sour with a bit of a smokey flavor.
My stomach expands a little from the newly added weight of my prey.I murr happily and see my brother just watching in a submissive position.I snap at him"Well, what do you want"He yelps and says"See you at home"before sprinting away.I lie on the ground, gently rubbing the small buldge on my stomach before muttering to Faith"He can be such an asshole sometimes, sorry if it's a bit cramped in There"as I wait for her to say anything I hear a quite sobbing sound.I stop and look around before hearing it again,it's coming from my.............oh my God she doesn't know she's okay.I stumble over myself to sit up before beginning to hack and cough, after a moment Faith slides up my throat and out onto the ground. She shivers and just stares at me as I lean back down and pick her up gently with my teeth, walking over towards a part of the tunnel still flooded before carefully putting her into the cool liquid.I help her get all of the super sticky saliva off of her and she quietly thanks me and just lays down on the earth.I stand over her almost unable to talk to her,I may have just traumatized her for life. She looks up and I see a look of extreme relief on her face and she says"T-thank you for not killing me,but why d-did you eat me"I silently scream in relief before answering"I didn't want my brother to get his claws on you and I didn't realize my mistake until he left. She tackle hugs me and says"Thank you"I look up at the slowly graying sky and look back at her with a grin"Oops guess we gotta get back in the shelter, and this time I'm telling you everything about me"She laughs and we walk back into the cave, shared between friends.
idk what this is, it was an idea I had and I wanted to try something different-
Celine the Seer/Marvin the Magnficent
forced alliance
??????
---------
Her heels click across the marble flooring as she nervously makes her way to the front door. Her palms are already sweating, though when she opens it, she forces a grin on her face, stepping back to open the door wider. This must be the man she’d sent for. He’s...younger than she’d expected, though Celine can’t honestly say what she had been expecting.
She also hadn’t expected him to arrive at her location within the week.
He’s charming looking, wearing a deep blue, gold-trimmed mask that seems to glitter in the sunlight. His clothing style is flamboyant; it’s a suit, but of a colorful nature. It’s very different from her husband’s usual muted red suits. This man also has long hair pulled back and tied off with a ribbon to match the dark blues and purples of his clothing. Even more distracting is the multitude of ear piercings and rings this man’s adorned.
“You must be the Seer.”
His voice is smooth, soft-spoken, and deeper than she’d expected from someone who looks as though he belongs to a circus. He wears a polite smile, lifting his hand to press against the doorframe, as though expecting her the slam the door in his face.
“I am. You must be the magician I wrote to. Er, Marvin, was it?” She takes another step back and beckons him inside. If the servants saw him on her doorstep they’d whisper, and it’d get back to Mark. She already has a lot of problems keeping her alternate hobbies to herself without an attention-attracting man adding to the strangeness of it all.
“At your service.” Marvin doesn’t offer a polite bow, but he does take the invitation and waltz on it. “Lovely place. Your husband’s, I’m assuming?”
“Yes.” Celine closes the door and turns to face him, keeping her hand on the knob. “It’s been in his family, I’m lucky enough to live here.”
“Ah, lucky, you say, as you’re sleeping with his best friend behind his back.” He presses his fingertips together, offering her a mysterious smile. There’s no way anyone would know that. Unless, of course, his talents are just as real as hers. But then again, she did reach out to him after seeing his name on posters in town. She had hoped...
The blood drains out of her face regardless, and she presses a hand to her chest in shock. “Are you reading my mind?”
“Of course I am. You’re a Seer, you’re hiding your abilities from your husband, and you’re having an affair with his dear friend William. You also fear Mark and want to escape and practice your talents without fear of him finding out. Am I mistaken?”
“Well, no.” There’s a note of distrust in her voice. If Marvin knows all that just from one meeting, there’s no telling what else he’s capable of. Being a Seer is one thing, but to see actual magic would be something else entirely. “We’re not close enough for you to be privy to any of that, Sir. I would appreciate you not reciting my life’s story in my own home. The walls have ears, you know.”
“I’m also aware that no one else is around. Your...servants...are outside, and rest assured, not listening.”
He seems disgusted with the use of the word servants. The sarcasm from his voice has her flinching. Of course she never wanted to think she was better than anyone. That’s all Mark speaking.
“I apologize. Would you like some tea? I’ve prepared some earlier and left it in the study.”
“Of course, madam.” He nods his head polite.
Celine turns away from him as she leads him through the parlour and into the private study. She closes the door behind the pair, then locks it for good measure.”
“Why all the secrecy, if we’re home alone?” Marvin sits down in one of the chairs, reaching for a tea cup. The liquid in the kettle is already flavored with tea, so he pours some for himself. “Unless you’re still afraid of your husband listening in.”
“I am.” Celine doesn’t grab any tea for herself, she plops down in the chair next to Marvin. “He’s not...horrible, but I fear he’s delving into something that might doom us all.”
“Such as?” Marvin lifts an eyebrow.
“You can read my mind,” she retorts. Celine regrets it immediately when Marvin falls silent, setting his drink down.
“I try not to show off what I can do too much, but clearly you’re confused. You seem to think I’m far more powerful than I consider myself to be. Just as you’re more powerful than you give yourself credit for.”
“I don’t know what I’m doing,” she admits. “I don’t know how to hone my talents, I don’t even know what being a seer means, other than I have a third eye of sorts. I read that from witchcraft.”
“It’s a sort of magic,” Marvin says softly. “The occult isn’t anything to fear, it’s something to respect, admire, worship. If you wish to learn more, you need to drop the snark and let me help you. After all, you wouldn’t call a stage magician unless you were desperate.”
“Do you really have magic?” Celine looks at him, almost desperately. “Or are you just..what is the word...?”
“Telepathic is the word you’re looking for, and the answer is yes, I really have magic.”
“Show me.”
Marvin’s lips curl upward in a smirk as a single snort slips out. “Impatient, are we?”
“Please, Mr. Magnificent. I need to know what I’m getting into.” She leans forward.
Marvin doesn’t respond verbally. Instead, he lifts the teacup, downing its contents first before holding it out. He stares at it for a moment, and Celine follows suit. She doesn’t know what he’s doing...not at first.
The change is gradual, but not at all subtle. What once had been an ordinary teacup is now a bouquet of Gardenias. He hands it over to Celine, who takes the bouquet wordlessly. This is real magic, and she knows Marvin is keeping more from her. It’s possible he’s...
“-one of the most powerful magicians in my bloodline,” he finishes the thought out loud. “Not as powerful as I’d like to be, but not one to mess with.”
“Please help me escape my husband and his ideas.”
“What occult is he into?”
Celine almost doesn’t want to answer. “Demons.”
Marvin leans back in his seat, fixing her a look. It’s not a pleasant one this time, but it’s a look that sends shivers down her spine all the same. Marvin knows. He has to know. He has to have first-hand experience with demons. There’s no way he wouldn’t.
“Then we’d best get started,” Marvin says. “I’ll teach you everything I know, and then some. You’ll become the most powerful seer anyone’s ever known.”
