I feel like I remember having asks for this, but I can't find them and I think Tumblr may have eaten them.
TW: Attempted murder, drugs, forced overdose
"Supervillain. Supervillain, hey, wake up."
"Mm..?" Supervillain blinked their eyes open foggily. "Me... Mentor?"
Mentor's eyebrows furrowed. "Are you feeling okay? You look a little... your lips are blue." It only took Mentor a few seconds to recognize the signs. "Has anyone else been in here regularly?" They asked, keeping their voice neutral as they checked Supervillain's morphine drip and promptly turned it off.
"Uh... just... just... Apprentice..? I think their name is..?"
"Hey, Medic. I need you in the med bay." Mentor called over the coms, still casual, not wanting to alarm Supervillain.
Medic was there in less than a minute. "Mentor. What's wrong."
"Someone upped their morphine in an attempt to cause an overdose."
Medic pulled something out of a cabinet.
"What's that?"
"It's naloxone. I assume you want me to save their life?"
"Show me the label."
With a sigh and an eye roll, Medic showed the label. "It wasn't me, Mentor. I like my job. I'm not trying to lose it. May I have your permission to do my job now?"
"Go ahead." Mentor stood back, watching Medic closely.

"Apprentice. I need to talk to you."
"Me?" Apprentice turned quickly, facing Mentor.
"You know I value you as a member of this team, right?"
"Oh. Yeah, I... I know."
"If there's ever anything you need, you know you can talk to me... Is there? Something you need to talk about? Maybe something I did that you don't like?"
Apprentice's face paled a shade. "Ah, no? I-I think you're a great leader. I respect your choices."
There was a beat of silence.
"Someone tried to kill Supervillain. Any idea who might've done that?"
Apprentice went even more pale. "May... maybe Associate? They seem u-upset about Supervillain being here."
"Are you upset about Supervillain being here?"
"Not enough to kill them!"
They stood for a moment, looking at each other. Apprentice looked like they wanted to run. Mentor hoped they could wait out a different answer.
"... Apprentice..." Mentor stopped, thinking better of what they were about to say. "Let me know if you remember anything that might be helpful." They turned to walk away.
"Is Supervillain okay??"
"They'll make a full recovery. I'm going to see if Medic can switch them to an oral pain medication, though. Harder to trick someone into overdosing on that."
