Forellbegonia / Angel Wing Begonia (Begonia maculata)
Origin: Brazil.
Placement: Bright or half shadow. No direct sunlight. Low light will prevent blooming.
Temperature:
Soil: Moist, but not soggy. Dry between waterings. Root ball can not dry out.
Watering:
Fertilizing: Use a food high in nitrogen to provide leaf growth. Use phosphorus for flowers. Once a month during growth season.
Problems:
Characteristics: One of the easiest begonias to grow.
Toxicity:
Repotting: Repot yearly in spring.
Other: Flowers july to august. Thrives when slightly pot bound.
