"Dream" Journal Entry 2 (The Forest)
It happened again...but it was different this time, and now I’m kinda freaking out because I don’t even remember falling asleep, especially with all the turbulence we were getting moments before it apparently happened (stewardess is freaking out in the corner with others trying to get her to breathe). This time the plane crashed in a different spot, and I just knew I had to get out of there. Just, as I was walking I ran into the people who had killed me before, and they just stood there watching me as I sprinted away. After a while I noticed they were not following me so I slowed down and tried to think, to remember something useful! Then I remembered those voices, the one who mentioned the mountain…and I started my trek there. I came across a river on the way, and I could tell it was only a mild distance away from the mountain, but after I crossed I could not move any further! It was like there was some force keeping me from moving! I went back to the bank I had free motion on and decided to set up there, seeing as there were sheer cliffs there and I could protect that area better than previously. I set up camp, with a fire, a hut type thing and a garden; I even threw together something to hold logs for me! Things went on normally for me the first day when I finished all of that, but the next? I slipped up, literally.
I was impatient, climbing down the rock face instead of the trail that leads down, and I fell. I woke up in this cavern, bigger than the first one, and filled with the other passengers…I quickly made my way out and realized I knew the area, I was so close to where I set up camp. That night I started fortifying as fast as I could, but they still showed up just a few of them. Only one chased me for some reason, so I did the only thing I could think of, I jumped in the river and swam to the other side. Just to distance myself from the other members of the tribe thing, a 1v1 basically. When he got to the other side though...I killed him…chopped him up with the axe I had. I killed a man and didn’t think twice! What was wrong with me?!?! It may have been in self-defense but still…
When I got back to the camp side of the river the others were gone. I spent most of the night making more walls and setting up traps. I exhausted my food supplies in the process and on the dawn of the third day I went looking for food. There were so many blueberries but I still should have been on my guard…I had just filled myself up when they jumped me, no 1v1 this time there was a group of three or four on me and I couldn’t do anything….
Then I woke up, here, on the plane. I’m not sure if it was a dream or not now, not now that I’ve realized I was actually perceiving pain. Not know that the other passengers are looking so uneasy as we hit turbulence again. Not now that they had to sedate the stewardess. Not now….

Dream Journal Entry 1 (The Forest)
I had the strangest dream when I fell asleep earlier. The plan started rumbling in it and ripped in half, then we crashed! Apparently I was ‘knocked out’ or whatever you would call it in a dream because I ‘woke up’ and some half naked man walked up and stole my son! Apparently I got up a little bit later and had to survive, the only other person I could see initially was the stewardess, but he was dead. Hell I picked up an axe off of her body, kinda fucked up, but hey, dreams. I scavenged the plane for supplies and got the feeling like I should get away from there, so I did what a person in a survival situation would do; look for a place to set up base. Don’t know why I didn’t stay by the plane, I mean, bug shelter right there. But something seemed off so gut listening I guess.
For some odd reason I kept thinking to get to a sheer cliff and use it as an edge to the base, either from the bottom or the top, I thought it would be easier to protect myself? I don’t know why I thought something was out there, but I just knew…Of course I got tired fast and just settled on a semi-shallow gully that was deep enough that if I made a fire you really wouldn’t be able to see the light unless you were right on the edge. Guess that’s why I started building walls to go around the edges of the gully…to make sure they couldn’t get to the edge…whose they…um; well anyways I started cutting down trees, gathering things and I made a tent like thing! Not the biggest shelter but seeing as it was raining it worked for its purpose. The next ‘day’ things got creepy
I woke up, normal thing in dreams I guess, days passing in blinks of an eye, but when I went to the top of the gully I saw people. Now I would think my first instinct when seeing people after a plane crash would be to go to them for help, but I stopped in my tracks and hid. There weren’t many of them, and they seemed to be heading towards the plane wreck, after they left I started to look around a bit more and I could see it…heads on spikes…everywhere! It was freaky! After that I became carful, I didn’t want the mutant cannibal to find me, couldn’t let them catch me so I wouldn’t become one of their territory marks. I had been foolish to pick that spot; it was so close to where they are keeping people from the plane crash…what? What am I even writing…. I kept working on the defensive walls after that, made a garden for a break from that, cooked some rabbit and lizard for food. Then I slept.
On day three I got sloppy, after initially checking to make sure there was no one there when I got out of the gully I started working on traps to go between defensive walls, to spice it up a bit. Then, after making a few more walls and traps, it happened. I didn’t check to see if the coast was clear. In a matter of minutes I was swarmed by them, I tried to fend them off and run, but they surrounded me. I didn’t even have time to run back to camp to use the traps on them.
I woke up in a cave. A cave I should have looked around a bit in before I turned on my lighter, I may have been able to escape if I had. They were there, just three of them, but they killed me…then I woke up, for real this time. Only now it doesn’t feel like waking up…Planes hitting some turbulence now, and the stewardess looks scared…you don’t think….?

So i got The Forest yesterday and let me tell you, even though i barely survived 4 days it was fun! So im going to do a thing where I write a "journal entry" about each game I play. Because i want to. I'll make the first one after i post this (in a little bit, will be tagged 'Forest Journal' if you ant to see it)
