Erik took fondness for the girl from the very first day she stepped her frail foot into his Theater. That wandering child, how lonely, how miserable she had been... And so he spoke, whispered from the shadows in secret. Taught her of music. Sometimes the Phantom wished so much to run his hand through her beautiful hair, red as fire, but he couldn’t. Not yet...  How fair she had grown to be in his eyes... his angel.

Devil in the Mask (Phantom of the Opera AU)

Rhys had lived in the dungeons of the Opera Theater for over a decade now. It all began that day when men of Church captured him. The demon’s handsome face was now damaged by Holy Water, as horrid as the tales about his kind told. Whole right side - a grotesque burn mark. He would probably have passed away after holding up against torture toughly for years, if not the kind woman, a ballerina curator of the Theater, had not found him to liberate him. She hid the demon from the world so he would not need to suffer any more cruelty. She and her daughter were the only ones who knew the secret, the only ones who cared. All others simply knew Rhys as the Phantom of the Opera, they feared him. Whispered scary stories about him. Thought he was a ghost. 

Rhys would terrorize them at times, it gave him satisfaction. The demon’s mind twisted slowly through the years of solitude, through the years of agony. Little was left of the outgoing, friendly and charismatic man he used to be... Even so, mischief was not his greatest passion. It was, will always be music. Nearly forgotten for a short time, newly found in darkness, in night, in loneliness. Rhys will always remain a genius of music. A masked genius clothed in all ominous, yet elegant black. Until  he found a new obsession. Her.

A Woman to a Woman

Joanne nodded after Azazel had explained her everything silently. She laid down her hand on the Prince's shoulder briefly, yet the motion meant much. She knew how devasted the demon was and yet held himself so toughly. The Doctor went to the redhead who sat on the cot completely motionless, eyes staring as if into nothing. Her whole downside and clothes were bloodstained. She motioned for Azazel to leave. It was the best if he went to Mephistopheles for support from a man to a man as they knew it. In this nightmare, only a woman could understand and help a woman. Fausta knew. She had been through this. And she had Nera to help her survive. Now Ehvina will have her. "Ehvina..." the Doctor's voice was feather light just as her hand stroking the other's back. "Ehvina, can you hear me?.." @forests-heart

1-10 for character development

Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?7 siblings, 5 older and two younger, four sisters and three brothers. The closest to his age was his sister Mala though one year separated them. He was closest to his brother Faust his elder by 3 years.  

What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?As the youngest of the family at the time he was  given large amounts of freedom, watched over by his siblings as Jera was very busy in their community. The had a good relationship though, all the way until he showed back up as a young man and vampire and she told him never to return. 

What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?Axel’s father was a warrior, he was kind but stern and would often teach both his sons and daughters tips on fighting. Axel and he had a good relationship up to when he was taken captive. When he returned home his father wasn’t there 

Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?Yes, several things- a few people know about a few instances but never all of them.

On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?A wallet, pocket watch, and ancient coin. 

Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?Yes, usually of warm summer days and people he loved. 

Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?Yes, people he hurt and torture he’s endured.

Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?Yes, his first target was technically a tree but after that it was used for big game hunting.  

Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?Yes, growing up while he wasn’t bad off his family wasn’t at the top then afterwards as a Gladiator he wasn’t particularly wealthy. By the time he’d become a champion for a wealthy family he’d moved up some but no where near the wealth he has now. 

Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?He’s most comfortable barefoot with a light shirt and pants so... less.
