So...
You ship SessKag?!
I don't! Sorry!!! Sometimes edits and art are really pretty or interesting though. InuKag is my ride or die OTP and there's no room in my heart for anything that keep them apart. (Enjoy all your ships though!)
But, my particular affection for “Howl” is that it emphasizes that there is no love with mutual reciprocity; in other words, the only person who can truly love a beast is one who is just as terrifying at their very core. Despite the fact her lover is ostensibly the dangerous one, the narrator of the song has just as many supposedly immoral predilections within her and she wants him at his most purest form, all superficial externalizations viciously stripped away until what’s left is just the man underneath and he can’t hide. The line I can never get out of my head is “I want to find you, tear out all your tenderness” because from what I’ve learned about love over the years, it’s not about whether we can admire the virtues of our partners in the light of day; it’s about whether we still want them at their very worst, no warmth, no beauty, no glory and just the inelegant, ugly, viscerally uncomfortable truth of their being in the dark cold of the night.
– that one f+atm owob post that still keeps me up at night
Did I ever tell you guys about the time I went through the drive-thru at Wendy’s and I pulled up to window and the lady got all wide eyed and i’m sitting there on the inside like “what, did half of my face get peeled off, am I missing an eye, do i have a bee on me” and the lady takes her mic away from her mouth and says “Oh my god, honey! Don’t you know it’s illegal to drive a car unless you’re 16!” “Ma’am, I’m 17.”
