Just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed your latest Freezerburn piece. I've always admire your writing and imo your characterisation of Yang just feels more authentic than her canon depiction. I am fairly optimistic about Yang's treatment in the show based off what I've seen so far from V5, since the writers are taking more steps in addressing her side of the narratives. Those Freezerburn moments we've been getting does swing my votes though.

happy december 25th, gina! I am so glad you have returned to tumblr once again. I can't remember when I first followed you from hook, but I do know it was a turning point! You bring a light to the dash with your personality and positivity that is unmatched, and the passionate, creative talent you place behind Esmerelda is rare as well. I am so happy I get to count you among the people in my little tumblr circle and I am grateful you are here to douse us with your awesome once more!!

tumblr being the blackhole that it is, maybe we all just got sucked into it, and there's no concept of time. has it been a decade, or a day? XD no matter when you followed me, or i followed you, i'm glad we did?? your everyday wisdom and jokes and headcanons and threads are wonderful to catch whenever i log in. yeah, we all get tired and need a break but your energy is amazing imo. you keep my dash both light and grounded at the same time and i just love you and your blog / blogs.

and i'm also glad that you and @twistedwit are well and i wish you every happiness and all the best this holiday season and the coming new year.

LISTEN , i have ADMIRED and written with you FOR SO LONG. you write esme with such love and have taken care to KNOW every part of her character. it SERIOUSLY blows my mind. you're also one of the KINDEST people i know. i adore seeing you on my dash honestly. your writing is ....WOW it honestly is breathtaking, and SO SO tactful ( if that makes sense ). your style and prose is unmatched hi helllo i love you sm.

LISTEN, it’s me. I have admired you since I followed you on your other blog(s). It never fails to amaze me how your style can change to fit the muse you write. It is so on point, and each blog is (was) unique.

I can feel now the sheer care you have for Jackson, and I love to read your writing and your portrayal, canon or not.

You are someone I will follow across blogs even if I do not know the muse or the show / book.

Ah, what can I say. Your portrayal is the reason why I want to keep writing for Frollo. If it weren't for you, I don't think I'd have that constant desire to explore the depth of our characters. It doesn't matter if it's canon, modern, or au, I love the nuances that you bring to Esmeralda in each. You have such a grand understanding of characterization. Not only with Esmeralda, but with other characters you write for. I always want to continue reading whatever you write <3

Your blog was why this blog was created and I got sucked in roleplaying, so touche lol!

You push me to think more carefully about Esme’s inner workings and motivations, how she reacts to people and situations around her.

You draw me with your portrayal and I had the privilege of watching how you build Frollo and make him yours. He still surprises me (and Esme) in his own ways and I look forward always to writing with you and reading what you have to say!

i know this is so late but i just wanted to say that i love your portrayal of esmeralda so much, you're doing her to a T. you show her so much care, and it's clear how much you value her. you weave her voice and every bit of her unique, nuanced characterization is threaded with such love into the way you write her, and i love reading your posts. esmeralda deserves only the very best and you are giving it to her! thank you for being here, and for your dedication to her <3

The thoughts and feelings are absolutely mutual! Following your blog is a fortune and I love seeing your posts on my dash. I love the background you give Meg, which ties in so neatly and logically with the movie. I love your characterisation, and the sass but also seriousness you portray her with. Meg is a complex character and you capture her so well

(1/2) you have to be The Hunchback Blog. not only are u super kind & awesome, but ur portrayal of esme is perfection. rather than giving in to stereotypes of female charas of color (always angry, constantly over-sexualized, etc) you choose to show sides of esme that other hunchback fans neglect. yes she is angry, but it is a justified anger. yes she does some sexy dances, but that doesn't make her an object for other's pleasure. she is loving, soft, & so so kind!

(2/2) it means a lot to see a great portrayal of one of my fave charas. you understand her so well and every time i see you on the dash i can’t help but smile. esmeralda is one of the few times i’ve seen someone who looks like me in a disney movie, and it makes me so happy to know that there are some people who deeply care about doing her justice. i hope you have a good rest of your day and stay safe!! <3

Huge apologies for the late reply because it has been about 2 months since I was last active and I left asks and drafts to collect dust throughout this time.

I wanted to reply this immediately when I saw that this came into my inbox a few days ago, but I couldn’t. You floored me. I wish I know who sent this, I cannot think of any person!! I’m glad you think I capture the different sides of Esme and do her justice. But I cannot accept being “The Hunchback Blog” no no no please! Over the years on this site, I have seen great HoND - both personal and roleplaying aspects. It is just that the fandom has gotten smaller. Or maybe it is just the fact that I am getting more of a hermit and do not interact as much anymore. >.< I just do what I enjoy in this space here and come up with whatever inspires me, and I am happy whenever there are those who enjoy it too.

Again, apologies, real life keeps me busy and exhausted. Please do not think I was ignoring you, and my words here simply fail to express the absolute gratitude and - yes - shock I feel.
