Hi, i just wanted to say i really enjoy your meta! Do you think you will be sticking around for the next season of Game of Thrones, I can't say i will myself, this season has been so frustrating to watch.

You know, I go back and forth on this answer so much. Because like, I’m kind of a spoiler whore, and I think I’m too weak to avoid seeking them out even if it was somehow possible to avoid them (which requires living under a rock I suppose). It’s just not something that’s ever phased me. But sitting through 10 more hours of this schlock? It’s not exactly enticing at the moment. I do enjoy the snark, though this whole season has been draining.

I’m going to have to give a “maybe” as my answer right now. It’s going to be dependent on so much, including casting/set reports and if TWOW’s release is announced, you know? I do feel fiercely protective of ASOIAF (again, it’s weird because this “hatedom” stems from my fandom), so for that reason alone I lean a little closer towards “yes,” but I really don’t think I can say for certain now.

However, I WILL say that I am very much looking forward to the wrap-up snark that will come with the end of this season. I’m already outlining a sexism 2.0 essay: “Did manage to write a sexist revision of EVERY woman this year?” The answer is, of course, yes.

Honestly TW has the ability to make me ship everything I do like Steter too I also really like Pydia and I seem to ship Isaac with: Allison, Scott, Stiles, Erica, Derek, Jackson and Stiles was also a big guilt ship? Sue me, I am the worst

Pydia works in another universe where he didn't do that to her, or she makes him crawl for it

never feel guilty for a ship, revel in it, the whole point is to do what you enjoy, fandom should be fun, not an obligation

It was just a thought as I had rewatched season 3 and there was s few hand holding moments and then 4x01, idk I was kind of comparing it to Stydia and Scydia is one of my guilty ships haha, thank you though!

We all have guilty ships, I like Steter where Peter is evil and Stiles is pretty much his victim but overcomes him in the end, like an evil regency villain

Thanks! I do agree with a lot of the commentary that unhealthy and abusive relationships are often romanticized in popular media, but that's not what's happening with Kate/Derek. We're absolutely supposed to identify it as something awful and unforgivable. And finding Kate interesting and wanting to see what happens with her character doesn't mean you don't think she's a really really horrible person who deserves to be held responsible for what she's done.
