An owl

My son

I did theatre in high school

12. Please share your favorite photo of yourself and why it is your favorite.

I hate having photos taken of me, but we had a professional photographer (Diana Ragland) take photos of us for Forever35 and had our hair and makeup done, and I felt pretty and relaxed, and I think that comes across here! 

Doree Shafrir is a writer and podcaster. Her first novel, Startup, was published by Little, Brown in 2017 and was called “biting and astute” by the New York Times Book Review. Her memoir, Thanks for Waiting: The Joy (& Weirdness) of Being a Late Bloomer, will be published by Ballantine in June 2021. In addition to Forever35, Doree is the co-host with her husband of Matt & Doree’s Eggcellent Adventure, a podcast about navigating infertility and the IVF process. She has also written about culture, women’s issues, parenting, media, and celebrity for publications including The Cut, The New York Times, and Slate, and was formerly an editor at BuzzFeed and Rolling Stone. She lives in Los Angeles with her family.

When your already postponed a full year from October 2020 to October 2021 wedding gets cancelled and replanned another 3 months later to NYE weekend you decide to REALLY ramp up your skincare. . Can I send my @sephora bill to @doree @katespencer @forever35podcast? I’m legit a year behind on listening to their podcast episodes (I neeed to start podcast from the beginning and listen in order). They had a Feb 2020 episode where they talked about their current top products as well as their ride or dies. Doree was really singing the praises of @biossance which I’ve used once before and also @tataharperskincare which I’ve never used. My first ever @sephora splurge! . Ready to take my skin care to the next level! I upgraded my daily spf/moisturizer, got exfoliating pads, and finally retinol (which cost as much as the first two products combined). . Plus picked up some new mascara and got some Drunk Elephant freebies and a free mini Aragon oil. I tried to select more natural or cruelty free products to start and see how it goes. I also got my first ever mini facial as a Beauty Insider “perk.” Both my friend AL and @forever35podcast talked about this. It was lovely, I definitely had dead skin and oil, but the consultant noted that I must drink a lot of water because of how must clear residue separated the oil from the dead skin. .
