HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARENTAL!

hey it was my mum's birthday today! i kind of ruined the surprise cake (mostly the surprise bit), but surprise coffee and homemade welsh rarebit seemed to make up for it.

forevercoffee and thewandererinthestorm were vital to the making of strawberry shortcake version #1 and seriously i am always grateful/sorry that these two are stuck with me through the bonds of friendship & being hellspawn together respectively <3. CAN'T ESCAPE NOW, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I FUCK UP THE CAKE. (well, that's not true because it would be creepy but you get the idea)

(btw mum says thank you for all your help miss f.e.c. and was kind of D: at you not getting to try some. but, i figure we can bake some more soon :)

basically mum got teary, i learned how to set up her new ereader, we all tried to write dirty words in scrabble without my 80 year old granny figuring it out, and everyone wished her a happy day AS THEY SHOULD. my mum is awesome.
