Long Time No See II Forevergoldsworthy
Katie: It had been far too long since she had seen or even heard from Eli, so when he told her that he was free tonight and that she should come over, she nearly jumped at the chance. She smiled slightly as she got herself ready to go over to his apartment, fixing up her hair and makeup to make sure that she looked okay for him since it was the first time they would be seeing each other in a while. She bit her lip and looked down at her outfit, deciding that her jeans and slightly revealing shirt were good enough. After all, they were just hanging out at his apartment, and who knows where it would lead to. Katie walked over to her table and grabbed her purse and keys and threw on her jacket before she went out the door and locked it behind her. She got to her car and drove the short distance to Eli's apartment, staying in her car for a few minutes. She was both excited and nervous to see him again. What if the spark they had felt before had gone out? What if he didn't like her anymore? A million thoughts raced through her mind, but she tried her best to put them aside and just focus on the now. She slowly walked up the steps and knocked on the door, waiting for Eli to open the door. She smiled when he opened it and leaned up, kissing his cheek. "Hey," She greeted.
You and I || Imogeli
Imogen dashed around her empty hotel room in search of her wallet. She couldn't believe she lost it in the tiny room she was staying in a few blocks from NYU's campus. After tearing trough the couch cushions, she finally found it and tossed it into her cat shaped purse before pulling on her coat to visit Eli. Even more strange than her losing her wallet in such a small room was Eli not allowing her to come visit him. In the week that she had been in New York, she had stopped by his dorm once, but hadn't been allowed inside. He promised her it was clean, so she didn't have to worry about him hoarding again, so she couldn't understand why he wouldn't want her coming by. The logical side of her said to just ignore it, that there had to have been a good reason, but the other side of her wondered if there was a girl in his hall he was seeing that he didn't want her running into. Imogen knew she was being paranoid, but she couldn't help herself. The walk to Eli's dorm felt long, though it was less than three blocks away, and after grabbing him a cup of coffee, she made his way up to his room, giving his door a few knocks.
Ten year commemoration II Goldsbaker
August 15th 2023. Ten years after August 15th 2013. Ten years after the death of Adam Torres. Ten Years after Becky lost the one she loved the most. And she stood at the doorsteps to the Torres house, where she had once spent many happy days. But things had definitely changed by now. She had been without Adam for many years now. Was it easy? It most definitely wasn't. Did she learn to deal with it? She had to. Her doctor had prescribed her pills to help her cope with the loss. She had taken these pills every day, for about 9 years, and she found herself attached to these little white tablets of bliss. After popping her daily dosage, Becky went to put the cap back on the bottle, but quickly halted when she looked at the ring on her finger. That was the ring Nathan, her fiance, had given her. Becky had met Nathan at nursing school. They shared the same classes together, naturally, and Nathan had been very polite to her, and Becky decided to give him a chance. He was no Adam, he never would be, but Becky found that Nathan was comforting, like a friend. And this was all that she needed. But, as she stared at the ring, which had only been given to her a short few months ago, she felt the need to take it off of her finger, she hadn't told anyone of the Torres's about her engagement, and she didn't believe that today was the appropriate time to bring it up. Sliding the ring off of her finger, she placed it into the one place where she knew no one would delve in, her bottle of pills. Finally ready to face the family of the one she loved most in the world, she knocked uneasily at the door, not knowing what sort of atmosphere this get-together would hold.

Clare: So when do you go on this work trip of yours?
So are you still fucking your boss?
That is none of your concern.
