Sarah Kelly, The Bookish Winemaker
Aspiration: Master Wine Maker
Traits: Clumsy, Bookworm, Socially Awkward, Sincere, Warm-Hearted
Sarah Kelly never quite fit in. Growing up in thrifted clothes and living on food stamps, she always felt like an outsider. Making friends as a child never came easily. So instead of chasing playground cliques, she disappeared into books. Between the pages, she found adventures, friendships, and great romances that real life never seemed to give her.
As she grew older, that habit never left. Sarah was the kind of adult who always had a novel tucked under her arm, who got swept away in soap operas and romance paperbacks just as much as in the classics. She loved stories, especially the ones where people who didn’t belong found a place where they finally did.
When she landed a job at a winery, she discovered two things: she loved wine, but she didn’t fit in there either. The snobbish wine crowd looked down on her clumsy charm and awkward small talk. Yet despite the sideways glances, Sarah’s heart lit up with every harvest, every tasting, every story a glass of wine seemed to tell.
So she began dreaming of something different. What if there was a place where wine and books came together? A cozy, welcoming winery-bookstore where misfits, romantics, and daydreamers could gather. No pretense, no judgment, just good stories and good wine shared among friends.
Sarah may be warm-hearted, a little socially awkward, and prone to tripping over her own feet, but she’s also sincere. And that sincerity fuels her greatest aspiration: to become a master winemaker and finally create the kind of place she’s been searching for all her life.
