my son, cucumber toothpick, has been further dripped out with this little scarf i made him!!! is it seasonally appropriate? perhaps not. but!! it is very cute :)))
dawg, i gotta say, i love how ieytd3 has done more to acknowledge the telekinesis stuff!! obviously in the past it’s kinda been glossed over bc it’s like a required game mechanic (and an excellent game mechanic at that) but i love how it’s now gotten more in game plot attention!
i think it’s genius how they chose to introduce kinesium (idk if i’m spelling that right kfjsjfjjg) as like a multi-purpose material. i think it’s great to see it mostly used for powering the robots at first, and it’s just sorta mentioned ‘oh yeah, this is also the thing in your brain chip’ bc it doesn’t make it feel quite so weird that the telekinesis hasn’t really been mentioned in depth before. they keep it real casual and it fits how it’s been treated in the past.
then later when you get to see more of the explosions and chain reaction stuff it’s like ‘OH, i’ve got that stuff in my brain’ and it adds a really cool personal level to everything bc you’re working to save the world obvi, but also you personally will like, get your brain exploded if you don’t stop this scheme, ya know?
then, as just the icing on the cake, we’ve got that ending scene with the triple-telekinesis!! i thought that was really cool and just like the drama of it all!! with having to like really pull on the thingies!! and the purple strain stuff!! and prism and the handler’s reactions!! i think it’s all really cool! i really really hope we continue to get more stuff with the telekinesis in the future because i think it’s really interesting from a world holding perspective, a character perspective, and just a storytelling perspective! yeah!!
i think scott should get to utilize his escape room skills in the vampire castle
the whole castle should be one big scary evil vampire dungeon that humans get lured into and then they just get stuck in like a door maze or something. a door maze but also there is vampires in there and they are laughing at you/trying to drink your blood
so obviously being hunted and killed/turned by vampires sucks, but like, just living in oakhurst regular-style ALSO would just generally suck.
you come to this town expecting at least a couple houses and maybe an inn you can crash at, but it’s actually RUINS and it’s autumn and COLD.
it’s almost winter and you have to build this town up FROM THE GROUND with a bunch of strangers that don’t have any more idea of what they’re doing than you.
it’s COLD and DAMP and the ROOF IS LEAKING and you’ve been living off only POTATOES for weeks and you can’t even go home because there is some kind of mysterious barrier keeping everyone in the area! what the hell!!!!
something something even though v!scott is entirely selfish and would never be self-sacrificial like other versions of scott, he still retains the sacrifice thing because of how he’ll need to die for the cure (either for all of them or just his direct fledglings)
to me it’s just so tasty that there’s still this thematic parallel between v!scott and all the others even if it’s in like the complete opposite direction. scott characters always have so much to give, and most of them are so selfless that they give their everything to benefit their loved ones, even to their own detriment (and often die as a result). it’s just that v!scott’s “loved ones” is only himself, so he would never act against his own interests and comfort.
so now it’s everyone else trying to sacrifice v!scott (in a situation where, for other people to benefit/win, he really HAS to die) rather than him trying to sacrifice himself (frequently in situations where his death was avoidable/no one asked him to sacrifice himself)
it just occurred to me that vsmp takes place in autumn, so it’s probably pretty cold in oakhurst.
not only are the humans running around all night getting lost in the woods and falling into rivers, theyre also doing so while it’s COLD OUTSIDE. it just adds another layer of being miserable on top of all their other issues lol
