FIREWORKS EVERYWHERE
Waiting...
It's strange looking at the empty space around Skaia, where all the planets used to hang like Christmas ornaments. Strangely, all four of us are on Prospit, and we've taken to training together when we're not doing our own thing. My whole team uses some kind of melee weapon o.O So it's pretty aggressive training.
Now that the battle is over, I'm focusing all of my attention on grist-gathering. I'm drawing a portrait of all my teammates in their god tier garb, to gift to them. I can't wait to see their faces!
None of us realized the forge-fight was going on until it was over. I couldn't find any of my teammates! I hovered above the planet, watching everyone else dive down to attack the forge, or lending their strength to others. I felt weak. I felt like a coward. I hesitated and hung back, and before I knew it, it was destroyed.
As I think about my friends, I can't help but think about the ones I left behind on Earth. If I even have the power, I channel all my hope into getting them back. Getting my family back. I see the remnants of my planet in the distance and know that they didn't make it out. They didn't have quest beds.
I didn't tell anybody, but after I got into the Medium, before I even had a team, I cried. I sat in my empty house and cried. I was all alone, my family was gone, I didn't know what to do. The only thing I could think of was that my fiance must be dead. He didn't read Homestuck, and didn't care about Sbarg when I told him about it. I thought it was perfectly okay, we didn't have to have ALL the same interests.
And then he was gone. Earth was gone. And my love, my future, my everything...
I'm glad I didn't lose my engagement ring after ascending. It's my token, my reminder that I have to keep hoping. That we'll succeed in destroying our session. That I'll see his face again. That I'll get to kiss him again someday. That I'll still get to be his wife.
Hope. Sylph of Hope. It's hard to keep hoping when everything you love is gone.
I'm so ashamed of myself, for holding back at the forge-fight. It felt like giving him up. In my head, I knew that we had the numbers to take down the forge, and my assistance wasn't really needed. But the fact that I didn't attack feels like a surrender, like accepting that I'm never going to see him again, so what's the use in trying?I have to believe in our victory. I have to believe in myself.
I have to try. I have to fight with every ounce of my strength so I can hold him in my arms again.
Will I ever see him again?
Missed the whole fight.
Things I've learned today
A lot of stuff happens on Oct. 3
Seriously
A lot
Let's not even get started
Beat Up A Volcano
There is a very specific reason you chose not to join the fray at the Forge. Not just because you're kind of shit about physical activities, or fighting, or being coordinated.
The reason is, well, it's a mission to beat a Forge.
Oops, you meant THE Forge.
The only Forge that matters, apparently.
You had initially joined the groups of players amassing their forces towards LOSAF once the HorrorTerrors had shown you the way (you stopped questioning how the inter-session rift was even possible), mostly out of curiosity and terribly laden with suspicion of the whole situation. And when you saw countless of pajamas-clad figures all flying towards the orbit-less planet deep in the void, you made the decision to stay back.
You don't know much about the actual attack of a game structure, only that it's supposedly some sort of Volcano or lava source essential for the birth of a new universe. You're almost certain you read that off someone's blog. But in the end, it's a stationary thing. It'll go down eventually, against clatters of zealously upgraded weapons, it's just a matter of time.
No, you're not worried about the Forge going down.
You're petrified knowing that HE would most likely do anything to save the Forge, and how difficult would it be to kill everyone with another one of his death beam magic when they're all gathered around the volcano?
No, you're staying behind, because you're Life.
You're useless in terms of combat, minus certain ministrations that wouldn't really work on a lava spewing crevice in the earth. You can't help anyone predict incoming attacks, you can't shield anyone efficiently (a life for a life is surely heroic).
You decided to sit on a small asteroid floating near the seventh ring, so close to the edge of the void and too far away from the ongoing battle.
==> Dart: Watch the show.
You're going to watch.
And you're going to wait until that's over and done with.
Brady spent a long time trying to get Omegle working for the Forge fight...
