Well you definitely don’t suck at friendship, you’re just tired. which is totally fair. I say you should play it by ear, if you feel up for the play then definitely go but if you’re tired you should stay home. Don’t go if you won’t enjoy yourself.
I think I'll take your suggestion and see how I feel tomorrow. The evening performace might be my best bet if I do go. And thanks for say that I don't suck at friendship.

Let me see if I understand this; your friend *runs* the theater company but they themselves are not in the play? They’re not going to be on stage, they had no part in directing the play or anything like that?
She co-founded the theatre group and is the artistic director, but yes, she isn't in the play or directing. This is their first full length production, and I was involved with the group early on, so I want to show my support. I also know the playwright, who is awesome, and I've heard her talk about the play in the past. I think I'll see how I feel tomorrow morning.
