Ashur, II Legion 'The Pyre' Command Squad Chosen

The first infantry model is done. It was good to paint, all the little details of the MkIII kit were easily picked out. The decals (from Forgotten Chapters) and the head (Archie's Forge) really made this model and the colour scheme is growing on me quickly.

Once I finish the command squad, plus two more models, I'll make a lore post.

The siege has gone on for a month now, and Anakin is getting impatient. When he and Cody find a tunnel that might lead past the blockade, nothing is going to stop him from exploring it, so Cody does his best to mitigate the risks and prepare backup in case it ends up going wrong.

Well, I thought I'd post something I wrote when I was bored...

I can't describe how glad I was not being able to see myself with my own eyes. He often told me they looked lifeless and how they had lost their brightness. At that time I didn't really care. There was a time when I did care. A time when I was happy, when everything mattered. A time I had long forgotten and I wasn't sure if I wanted to remember. These moments would only show me how low I had sunken. And how I was still falling, never being able to forget the never ending agony this place made me feel. I wanted to escape, but at the same time I wanted to stay here. I couldn't survive here, but I was sure I couldn't survive anywhere else. Not that it mattered. Nothing mattered anymore. I had given up. On living. On feeling anything at all. I just wasn't able to feel affection for anything. I was sure I was going down within these walls. But he wouldn't let me.
