Remake-Remodel

So, I realized I wasn't using this here personal tumblr for anything much these days - so I thought I would turn it into another platform for my podcast (always be plugging, amirite)? Hence the name change. So, obviously, new episodes will be announced here, but this will also be a place for side projects and anything that doesn't fit elsewhere. I have some plans percolating for next year to make The Forgotten Library bigger and badder than ever! Or something like that. What is The Forgotten Library? It's a podcast where I, as your intrepid librarian host, do a deep dive into a book that (most of the time) you might never have heard of, like old sex ed books that weren't really about sex at all! Or perhaps you read it a long time ago, like those V.C. Andrews books you smuggled out of your mom's nightstand. All that, and more, can be found on The Forgotten Library. We're hosted by Anchor, but the 'cast is on most aggregators, and the full list, along with transcripts and source materials, can be found on the official website.

Meet the Mancers

                                   A once a month event, starting tomorrow.

IC: 

      Within the Forgotten Library, the collective that have taken upon themselves to curate the Scarred Tomes and teach the city and hopefully the rest of the Horde have gathered to introduce themselves to the public. Whether it is to sign up for this odd endeavor, to show their support, or to call into question the integrity of this Order, are asked to come at the designated time. It will run no later than an hour with its speeches, as well as the meeting part.

OOC:

      The guild I formed almost a week ago is on its way to becoming a big hit! To honor the original idea, we will be setting up monthly meetings to the public so they may critique our work. Of course, the critique has to be IC. At this moment, it seems we have only elves but we would appreciate more Horde involvement (like Witch Doctors! And Forsaken alchemy!) as to spread the glorious word of the Scarred (my pet name for the guildmates). 

      To keep this post short and curt, the general overview (as well as the rules and guidelines my guild members must upheld and if you see any of them breaking the rules, you may come to me with screenshots and concern) can be viewed in the Google Docs in this tinyurl: http://tinyurl.com/scarred-tomes. We also have a tumblr, @scarred-tome​ if you wish to follow our shenanigans (I can guarantee there will be some form of pun incident like the Birds).

As this is a public event, I strongly ask you keep para-posts to a minimum when the speakers speak. If you feel an immense amount of inspiration, that is absolutely wonderful! But depending on how large the event is, I kindly ask you keep it in party chat if it is for one specific individual. If it’s a post towards the collective as a whole, that is allowed.

      To keep the safety of those involved, I kindly ask you put undesirables on ignore. If they IC make a ruckus, they will be escorted out. If they cause an OOC ruckus, they will be asked to leave. If they make the widespread attendance uncomfortable, they will be immediately asked to leave no matter if they behave properly and politely. I will not support a toxic environment. However, if it is just one or two people that other people have had, what I call “soft” differences and experiences with (such as disagreeing on something, having different opinions, saying the wrong thing and not clearing up the misunderstanding, etc.) then I ask you put them on ignore. However, if they are known to harass, stalk, and overall put down other people for their own benefit (a literal parasite to the community), then they will not be involved. I ask you all make my job easier and point out exactly whom they are and if you have any proof, show it in a tinyurl. It will be examined and decided upon immediately.

      But that being said, trolls will be trolls, and the best we can do is not entertain them and let our imagination loose in order to keep the ball rolling.
