The Shadow King was (is?) a stop-motion feature film project directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline).
In 2012, The Walt Disney Company dropped its plans to distribute the film, and it has since been in limbo—the last word on the film was in 2016, stating it was “in turnaround again,” and Lou Romano’s post of the above photos describes the project as “cancelled.”
Either way, you can now get a behind-the-scenes look at what could have been (or will be?) thanks to Lou Romano. (x)
