Who is a night owl: As they get older, neither of them really? They’re both pretty big on goig to bed early-ish, though out of the two of them I think Clarice is more the type to stay up later.

Who is a morning person: Again, they both enjoy morning and have never really had problems, but I think Scully is awake early more often than Clarice.

Are they cuddlers: Oh hell yes.

Who is the big spoon: They’re both the same height so they like to switch? Clarice is a fan of being the big spoon more often than not.

Who is the little spoon: See above, but Scully loves lil’ spoonin’.

What is their favourite sleeping position: Face to face or spooning. Scully likes to sleep on Clarice’s chest sometimes, and Clarice is known to tangle her legs with Scully’s.

Who steals all the blankets: Scully. The woman is always cold.

What they wear to bed: Scully wears her classic pajamas usually, or i the summertime she wears long t-shirts. Clarice sometimes wears the classic pj’s, but is more a fan of short/old flannel pj pants and a t-shirt or sweater

Who likes seeing the other wearing their t-shirt: Both? They get their clothes mixed up a lot tbh.

Who falls asleep mid-conversation: Scully. She’s famous for it and always feels guilty afterwards.

Who wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares: Oh man, both? I think Scully might be slightly more prone to them more often, but when Clarice has one, it’s bad. 

Who accidentally punched the other in their sleep: Clarice. Once, when being woken from a night terror. She hit Scully square in the jaw, but nothing was broken and there were plenty of kisses to be made up for it afterwards.

Who can’t keep their hands to themselves: SCULLY. The woman cannot be subtle.

Who said “I love you” first: Clarice? I think? Only bc Scully is v nervous about feelings.

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: Both of them, tbh. Nerds.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: Scully. Usually it’s cute stuff, sometimes it’s things like “We need milk” or “Curling iron still hot, don’t touch”

Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Scully has a knack for giving great gifts, but Clarice is better at finding perfect little joke-gifts and super cheesy gifts. It’s cute.

Who initiated the first kiss: Again, Clarice. She’s a romantic that one.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning: Scully. She loves morning kisses and cuddles.

Who starts tickle fights: Neither of them are really into it. Unless Scully is drunk. Or flirty.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: Clarice usually asks Scully, who always happily obliges. 

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: SCULLY it’s literally her favorite thing to do.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date: Scully, 10/10.

Who kills/takes out the spiders: Clarice, probably? If the spider is too big. The little ones, Scully can handle. 

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: BOTH tbh

 “Glad I can be someone’s ray of light,” Starling dryly replies, though a hint of sincerity is evident in the crinkles around her eyes. This type of conversation is not unusual for the two: an odd sort of knowing, as well as unknowing, but a mutual respect underneath it all. It’s odd, and she knows it.       She can’t count how many times she’s been to his house by now, but she still refrains from allowing her eyes to roam much; there are too many empty bottles. If she were to grant them attention, she’d likely look as though she were pitying the owner of said bottles.

      Either way, she knows damn well that she’s a highlight of the day, because although one arm is holding a stack of paperwork, the other is holding a bag of takeout.

       “Here. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you actually eat.”

The last person from the Bureau to visit had been Jack Crawford. Others from the FBI had given up on visiting. Graham hadn’t even turned them away, he’d merely been a shell of the man he’d been before the Francis Dolarhyde ordeal. Before Hannibal Lecter. When Starling visits, Will mostly listens. How things are at the Bureau. How Jack is. Graham even asks about Jimmy Price. What sort of cases she’s on he refrains from asking about. He doesn’t want to hear it and he made that clear from the moment he’d opened his floridian home to her on the first visit, even before full introductions had been made between Molly and his stepson. It had been a rather blunt statement that his then wife had given him a look for.

Things had been different the last couple visits. The tan of his face had done an adequate job of fading the scars on his face ( Though they were still impossible to miss within casual talking distance ) so Graham had made it outside a bit more to fish and work on the boat. Evidently more than his marriage because even the tan line on his ring finger had started to fade. Will hadn’t even been surprised, hurt yes, but he didn’t blame Molly for not wanting her son to be near him. It was too damn depressing for a kid to grow up around. Will says nothing about it when Clarice comes to visit this time. He knows she’s not an idiot, she’ll see the signs even beyond the lack of thrown away bottles. That alone screamed that a woman hadn’t been there in weeks. Even Molly had tried to clean up after Will’s habit.

“ — I eat, ” he assured her but reached out to take the offered bag regardless, setting in on his lap so he could rifle through its contents and set them out on the table on the back porch where he sat overlooking the ocean. Graham’s posture slunk back into his chair as he took gauge of Starling’s person. She had files this time. “ So I know you’ve been working up to pitch some favor or ask for advice -- ” Sure he was a drunk but he hadn’t lost all of how sharp he was. Maybe it was cynical to expect a visitor to simply want something from him but in his experience with the Bureau it was generally the case. At least Starling had been gentler than Crawford. More respectful. “ — but what’s changed? You’ve got files --- paperwork now. ”

       If that’s the case, it’d be damn helpful if mirrors could look at themselves, Starling thinks.

       “ I find that phrase null in the field of criminal justice, Dr. Lecter.”

                  “Having a CLOSED mind will not help you                    in this case or in ANY case, Agent Starling.” Lecter’s head cants as his red tongue moistens his lips.                  “You’ve heard of copycat killers, I assume ??                    They are a prime example. They come to                   develop a similar modus operandi and you                   must be aware of them. For example, many                   have followed in the way of the ZODIAC.                   You cannot disregard anything.”

“I can’t talk to that prick.”

Will’s feeling a million different emotions at once. Anger’s the only one which makes any sense, so it’s what he holds onto; though his tone sounds defeated even to his own ears. He doesn’t care. Will’s done with being a moron due to pride.

He leans against the wall of the corridor they stand in, takes in a deep breath as his blood boils. Not even five minutes into interviewing Lecter before it went sour. One well placed, snide reference to Abigail Hobbs was all it took to goad Will into, more or less, telling Hannibal Lecter to go fuck himself. And of course, the brief exchange orchestrated to make Will Graham look like the asshole.

So Will fled. Booked it out of that room with the cell, and didn’t stop until he became aware of Clarice Starling calling his name. He’s sure she’s angry, but he doesn’t really care about that either. 

“I can’t-- I can’t do it. I won’t do it.” Starling will do whatever she wants and more power to her, because she’ll need that fire to survive Jack Crawford (who can also go fuck himself, by the way). “I’ll wait in the car.”

“You must be new around here,” Mulder smiled, offering a hand to her for a moment. “Special Agent Fox Mulder, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Mulder was currently an agent of the Behavioral Science Unit, although he had his own interests elsewhere now that he was being given a little more freedom here. Of course, he had his obligations still as an agent. “You have a case you’re working on right now?”

       Starling looks up from her makeshift desk ( a seat on the carpet floor, neatly organized stacks of papers lying all around her ) when she hears Will speak.

       “Did you find something?”

                    ‘ yeah.  ——- no. maybe. ’  a habit  he’s had since he was young, useless as most habits are, he brings the document to his face as though the closer he is to the words, the more sense they’ll make. will feels himself teeter on the edge of a jump; he’s only stopped to see if he can make out what’s on the other side of the gap.                      ‘ still looking, but .. three of the victims have wives  —  uh, widows —  that’ve been to the same women’s shelter in the last few years. ’

who hogs the duvet: Hannibal often wakes up in the middle of the night to find that Clarice has taken all of the blankets. He takes his warmth back by spooning her.

who texts/rings to check how their day is going: Hannibal is both protective and possessive. The combination of which, leads him to call Clarice whenever he hasn’t heard from her recently.

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: They both give meaningful gifts, and Hannibal will always cherish anything that Clarice gives him. However, it’s Hannibal who sometimes involves murder in his gifts. He’s like a cat bringing a dead bird to his owner. Except he’ll bring Clarice the heart of someone he murdered for Valentines Day and say, “I’m going to cook this heart for dinner tonight, because it shows how much I love you”.

who gets up first in the morning: Hannibal prefers to wake up first so that he can cook breakfast for them both.

who suggests new things in bed: Hannibal has…quite a few desires that he’d be eager to share. But he’d also be open to hearing what Clarice wants. He’ll always give her what she needs.

who cries at movies: It depends. Hannibal probably wouldn’t cry at a movie. He’d be surprised if Clarice did, but he’d comfort her and admire her honest display of emotions.

who gives unprompted massages: Hannibal likes to give Clarice back massages in bed. That being said, he would also love to receive a shoulder massage while cooking.

who fusses over the other when they’re sick: Hannibal takes very good care of Clarice when she’s sick. He brings her homemade soup, and then when she’s done eating, he sits in bed with her and puts her head on his lap so she can relax and watch a movie while he gently pets her hair. On the other hand, when Hannibal is sick, he is stubborn and insists that he can take care of himself. But Clarice stands up to him and makes him lay down, so Hannibal just accepts his fate and lays down, hoping beyond hope that she remembers exactly how he taught her to make chicken noodle soup. Because he couldn’t emotionally or physically handle a bowl of dry meat and salt water right now.

who gets jealous easiest: HANNIBAL! Big ball of jealousy. Clarice is HIS!

who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Hannibal would say that Clarice does, but Clarice might say the same of him.

who collects something unusual: Hannibal collects human body parts for their freezer, and recipes with which to cook them.

who takes the longest to get ready: Hannibal. He wants to look immaculate from his combed hair, to his suit and tie, to his perfectly polished shoes. Clarice was born looking naturally like an angel, and Hannibal would say she needs nothing else to look beautiful.

who is the most tidy and organized: Hannibal is obsessively organized.

who gets most excited about the holidays: They both have trouble with the holidays, given both of their tragic familial pasts. But Hannibal tries to make each one special with decorations, feasts, and gifts. He also enjoys hosting parties of any kind, including holiday parties.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Hannibal is the big spoon. He has a need to hold onto what belongs to him. Though there might be the rare occasion when Clarice gets a turn. And that would be meaningful to Hannibal, too.

who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: Hannibal enjoys winning, but Clarice is the more outwardly obvious about her desire to beat him.

who starts the most arguments: Hannibal might be the cause of most fights, given that he’s a murderous cannibal. But it would be Clarice bringing up his crimes that would start the arguments.

who suggests that they buy a pet: Clarice would be the one to suggest it, and Hannibal would have to be convinced to allow it.

what couple traditions they have: They cook together, go for walks throughout the city, and enjoy nights at the opera.

what tv shows they watch together: They’re both really into murder mystery and true crime shows. It’s a bit like two people watching their opposing teams play sports on tv, with Clarice rooting for the police/investigators, and Hannibal rooting for the murderers.

what other couple they hang out with: Hannibal is often making friends at parties and inviting them over for dinner parties. But other than that, they tend to spend a lot of quality alone time together.

how they spend time together as a couple: Cooking, slow dancing, operas/plays, high society parties, sex, and having intellectual conversations.

who made the first move: Hannibal. It’s always been obvious how immensely intrigued he is by her.

who brings flowers home: Hannibal brings fresh flowers home for Clarice any time that he has to go out. And two bouquets if he’s in trouble.

who is the best cook: Hannibal, of course. But he’s doing his best to teach Clarice how to cook, too!

Hannibal raised a surprised, yet intrigued eyebrow towards the woman— his woman. A bit of a smile played at his lips as he answered,

“Shouldn’t it be I asking you to dance, Clarice?” He placed a gentle hand on her lower back, and used his other hand to hold hers. “Very well, but only if I can lead.”

As he swayed with Clarice in their kitchen, he made up for the lack of music by humming softly in her ear.
