Alright sooooo… I’ve had a few people ask me before what the name of my AU is for Dion, Spencer Rae, and the rest of my OCs with powers, so I figured I’d just explain it here.
The AU is called Shattered: The Crimson Hand, though most of the time I just shorten it to Shattered.
The story takes place in London in 2006, in a world where some people experience such severe psychological breakdowns that their minds quite literally fracture. When that happens, they become what people call “Shattered.” Their minds splinter under the weight of trauma, grief, rage, or desperation and somehow, that break manifests as supernatural abilities.
But the powers don’t come from anything heroic. They come from instability. From pain. From people reaching a point where their mind simply can’t hold together anymore. Because of that, most Shattered individuals are seen as dangerous. Many of them lose control, spiral further, or end up using their abilities for violent or criminal purposes. As a result, they’re hunted down by a government organization known as the SPFC, which exists specifically to track, capture, and eliminate Shattered individuals before they become too powerful. Naturally, that kind of world creates a lot of fear.And that’s where Crimson Hand comes in.
The Crimson Hand is the most infamous underground organization made up of Shattered individuals. To the outside world they’re seen as a dangerous criminal group,a gathering of unstable superpowered people who refuse to be controlled or captured. What almost nobody knows, though, is that the entire organization is secretly led by Dion. He’s the one pulling the strings behind the scenes, acting as the hidden leader of the Crimson Hand while carefully keeping his identity a complete secret.
So yeah… that’s basically the name of my AU and the general premise behind it! 😤
