The one who loves music //
I want one who loves music. Who sings, who plays guitar, or piano, or any.
I would want to meet him at a bench, while I am listening to my favorite songs. I would put the volume to its highest so I would not have to hear the annoying noise of the world; and while he had walked too much and he would want to sit, he would find the bench I'm sitting in and he would be sitting at the other side and chill. He would hear the song I am listening to, and would sing to it. I would check my phone and it would be 5PM, it's time to go. I would remove my headphones, get ready to stand and leave, when he would say, "You like that song, too?"
I would turn my head and I would tell him, "Yes, I do. You like it too?" He would nod and sing his favorite part of the song. I would get interested so I would sit again, and would sing with him, then we would talk about how we first knew the song, and all about it.
And that is how it's going to start.
I would check my phone again while chatting to this stranger, and I would see that the time has already hit the 5:30PM mark, and a message from my Mom asking where I am. It's getting late. He would sing another song that we discovered we also both like, and while thinking of how I am going to end this stranger conversation and leave, I would sing with him. He would stop singing and would listen to my voice, and would look up to the sky. I would see him do that, and I would also stop singing. I would stand, shake his hand, and bid goodbye.
I would run away fast to finally go home, then I would hear the stranger shout his name, and would say, "I hope to meet you again!" I would stop, smile and wave at him, then continue to run.
And if fate would be kind, the next day I would be sitting down the same bench, and meet him again.
I would come to that same bench, and see him sitting there. I would sit at the other side, and talk to him again. He would ask me my name, and officially, we would become friends. We would talk about music once again, and the bits and pieces of who we are as persons, and would get to know each other day by day. Days would pass, months would pass, and years would pass, we would just feel that music has bind us together as good friends. We would hang out, we would try and jam with his guitar and with my keyboard, and we would sing together our favorite songs. With our friendship, we would make music.
And who would know when? If fate would be kind, we would realize that our common passion for music might turn out to be our love for each other.
With that love, we would be inspired to make songs, to makes melodies. We would put all our unspoken thoughts and feelings in a song. We would even sob while singing our sad slow songs and we would not be able to sing our fast upbeat songs well because we could not help but laugh. We would play and sing for ourselves, for our family, for our friends and for all. The world that was once full of annoying noise would be full of harmony in our sight, because of our love, our friendship, and our music.
But if fate would not be that kind, we would experience hardship and we would get tired, but we would get by. We would both be in bad mood, we would be cold to each other and our bad attitudes would show up. And in worst-case scenario, we might even be convinced that we are getting tired of being together, and that we are tired of each other. But we would feel the fear of not being together. We would feel that we are afraid of the fact that maybe, even for the both of us, forever is not possible. We would feel scared, and we would both keep our realizations to ourselves and simply ignore it, and get by.
But the more we would try to keep it, the more we would act foul towards each other. We would get into petty fist fights, unreasonable arguments and walk outs. We would get sick and tired of each other even more.
And if fate would not be that kind, we would admit it to ourselves, we don't want this anymore.
He and I would walk away from each other, and try to cool down. I would go to that same bench, listen to the songs in my player and put the volume to its highest so I would not need to hear the annoying noise of the world.
Then suddenly, that one song we wrote together would play. The rough draft of the song we recorded out of fun would play, and I would hear our voices laughing in the introduction because we did not know it was already recording. Then I would hear the actual song start. The guitar played, and then the keyboard, and the voice... of the both of us.
I would be really startled to hear this song, and I would realize a lot of things while listening to its lyrics. It is the song that we wrote conveying our common feelings of love for each other. We wrote this song's score and words. It is a song from the both of us. It is the song we made out of love. It would be cold and windy at that night, and I would embrace myself. But upon listening to that one song, I would feel a lot of warmth inside of me. I would realize with this song, that the one that I walked away from is the one I met in this same bench a little while ago, the one who I wrote this song with, and the one that I love.
Tears would be falling from my eyes, and I would realize how much I would lose if I don't go back. But I would only know what I would feel, how about how he feels? I would not know, and so I would not know what to do.
But maybe, if fate would be kind to us once again, I would see him running towards the same old bench we first met, and he would sit beside me. He would notice the tears falling from my eyes, and he would wipe them away, and smile.
He would then hug me, and say sorry, with his ear sticking to the headphones I'm wearing. I would cry even more, and he would sing along with the song that we both made for each other, and we would be together again.
We would be together again, and we would be convinced that maybe, forever is possible for us. We would be afraid to feel the coldness that once broke us up, and we would still feel it once in awhile, but we would get by... with our love for each other, and with the music we make, the music that brought back the warmth when coldness conquered us.
That is, if fate would be kind to let music protect our love forever and ever.
