This beautifully cut formal evergreen hedge is made up of Rhamnus alaternus 'Argenteovariegata' (Italian buckthorn). This hedge forms a good contrast with another evergreen section of Taxus baccata (yew) and the taller copper-colour deciduous leaves of a formal Fagus sylvatica (beech) hedge.
