With 10 minutes left in this day ( in my time zone) I'd like to share these things with you.
Today marks one year since things in my life decided to start testing my strength as a person. It was the beginning of a terrible downsilde in my life.
There were also amazing things too. I try to focus on them as much as I can.
One year ago my dog passed away on her 12th birthday.
Two weeks later I was celebrating my birthday with friends and family. Then a week after that I celebrated The Socialite's 16th and Little Foot's 1st birthday. That same weekend I took my family to our local Pride Parade for the first time.
In August my mother ended up in the hospital after spending all year trying to figure out what was wrong with her. Then my parents decided to get a divorce.
September I celebrated The Gamer's 12th birthday and Rocket Man's 6th birthday.
October we celebrated Child Zero's 19th birthday.
Less than a week later found my mom back in the hospital and one week later she died.
I ended up failing my Chemistry class because I missed so much (midterm included) after dealing with my mother's death and personally handling everything.
November 9th, exactly one month after my mother passed I flew out to D.C. to go to SPN DCCon. Where I met amazing people from here, joked around with Kim and Aliana. Met some new and incredible people. Picked up an accidental Con Buddy. Joked with Jensen, scolded Jared, and was barely able to breathe after meeting Misha.
December we celebrated The Artist's 16th birthday.
Then we happily bid adieu to 2017.
February Mr. Foop was laid off after almost 18 years (and three states) of loyal service leaving our family with no income while I was still going to school.
Also that month though the amazing film Black Panther was released. There is no black panther emoji please accept this black cat. 🐱
March brought spring break and Mr. Foop's birthday and we went to Austin and Dripping Springs Texas and visited Family Business Beer Co. Brewery. I also acquired my octopus Dave there at the museum of weird.
At some point in there Mr. Foop also found a partnership with an amazing non-profit here.
April brought the bittersweet Avengers: Infinity War.
May brought the end of my semester. My graduation with my associates in psychology. And my anniversary. All within 3 days.
Later in May I got a call and accepted a job with great pay and allows me to continue school in the fall to pursue my bachelors degree.
Today one year later, I recieved done amazing headphones I love (this is a big deal for me they are awesome) later I met with my supervisor and filled out my new hire paperwork.
Thursday the 7th I fly out to Pittsburg to go to SPN PittCon. Take a minimum of 5 photos with Misha and hang out with some amazing people from here.
So over all, the year has been really difficult but it has also had amazing moments that I have to celebrate.
