Mami turned around as she took notice of crying. Madoka was there, looking obviously upset. A gasp of surprise is heard as the blonde forgets about whatever she was doing - instead only focusing on the pinkette. Mami, in a act of sympathy, approaches her junior slowly and offers her arms for a loving embrace. Mami was stricken with worry, what could have happened?

 Madoka wasn’t alright, that was pretty much obvious. But why wasn’t she alright? 

❝K-Kaname-san…! You don’t look well! Are you… feeling alright? What happened?❞ Frankly, Mami didn’t even need to comment on Madoka’s tear-stained appearance. Offering up a hand to wipe the tears away, the blonde continues.   ❝Oh, please don’t cry! Everything’s okay! I’m here.❞

Eyes full of comfort, the blonde gazes over the younger girl. Don’t tell her… was the younger one feeling inadequate? That couldn’t be! Madoka deserved to be the always kind and positive person she was. If that was the case, Mami could also spare empathy as well. Smiling gently, Mami looks the younger girl directly in the eyes.  

 ❝…Kaname-san, you do matter. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You are a precious friend to me, and I’m sure Miki-san feels the same way too!  You have strength that you may not even know about!❞
