This is one of my favourites out of a series of portraits I've been doing to explore a new art style, and also part of a story that only exists in my head currently :L

>No one, not even that scruffy Eridan you're falling in love with again, will help you save your moirail, and you know he's dying, alone. Without you. You promised you'd watch his wriggler, but you... You can't leave him to die.  >Not knowing what you're going to find, or how you'll get back, you take Karken's cloak, and find what you believe is a transportaliser in the ruins of this hive. You fire it up, and in moments you are inside another ruined building, but one freshly done, and you panic. All that rubble, and the water rising... You're terrified. Eridan? ERIDAN?!

I can't reach him... I can't contact him at all... I. I can't lose him too. Everyone else is gone-- I can't afford to lose him when I've just remembered him... I don't want to be alone...

>You have no idea where you've been located for a while, but you're going to figure out soon enough. Slowly, and with eyes open, you walk east, waiting for trees to thin out, to see a skyline. You don't know how this is going to work, but... >It's funny. You don't know where Karken is, nor do you know who you're looking for. A man with a wriggler, right? Not too many of them about, hmm. But, after some time, you think you spot him, and walk a bit faster to him, ignoring the pain shooting through you.  >You don't remember to close your eyes.
