Silent Understanding | Katniss & Percy

           Distrust was a part of who she was, a natural reaction to most people Katniss had met over the years. Being a demigod, she had been hunted by monsters that could seem to smell her from miles away and she had believed that one day, she would have fallen prey to them, which she probably would have if it weren't for Artemis and her Hunters. They saved her from a Cyclops, and that very same day, she was sworn into the life as an immortal, forever young and she had gained a second family. A better family even. 

             There were people she distrusted even more than others. And those were boys. Katniss didn't hate them persay, unlike some of the other Hunters, but she was even more alert and on her toes around them. Though, having lost her most beloved family, she desperately needed help. Her Iris-messages weren't going through, and she knew they woudln't be looking for her. After all, they must have thought her dead to ever leave the area. So, she needed someone who might be able to help her track them. Being an excellent tracker herself, that was a hard thing to confess. 

            Walking through the barrier now, she looked around the camp with distaste. Katniss never liked it here, but she was on a mission and wouldn't let that little tidbit get in the way either. She knew exactly who she needed to help her, the most powerful of them all, and he had helped them before.  When she spotted him, she merely nodded in greeting, no shaking his hand or any real kindness to her features. "Percy Jackson. I've been looking for you."

Katniss' face fell at the dare, but she stood nonetheless, walking to the center of the room. Closing her eyes, she tried to picture herself being in front of her prep team and not this far more attractive girl. Slowly, she peeled off layer after layer of clothing, dropping the fabric to the floor. Why would Silena even want to see her naked?
