'it shies away from “transformative” demands in favor of “affirmative remedies for injustice,” such as visibility and recognition, that aim to “[correct] inequitable outcomes of social arrangements without disturbing the underlying framework that generates them.”' almost every time i see classism mentioned, it's in relation to another ism, it's a secondary ism, and it is kept within the framework of capitalism. which i really don't think is the way to go about this. and this got long, sorry.

and a lot of times calling out of ableism is restricted solely to 'ableist language'. not that that is all necessarily bad! (although i've read/been told some stuff on why some of that is going overboard and causing harm rather than help) but there's so much more to it than that, and we're stuck there. and it seems similar for classism. i'm reading a journal article "how do you say 'come out of the closet' in arabic?" by jason ritchie right now, which has a quote i think is applicable here, too.

(talkin about your post about classism) I've seen a couple posts going around, too, that say 'I want to see a movie in which a rich [oppressed person] saves a poor [privileged person].' tumblr seems to do a pretty good job of finding and pointing out the big three of racism, sexism, and heterosexism. cissexism isn't as much, i don't think (also for any of this if i'm being a privileged awful person please let me know), but often in combating the first three people will use ableism and classism.

yea i kinda agree with all you say; like i get when ppl want to see , for example, a black woman saving a white man or smthg because of all the gross white savior movies but like could you keep money out of it? idk.

yea the mainstream part of sjws (like a lot of feminist blogs) here on tumblr arent very anti-cissexist its sad and gross
