Community Care Show
1.9 million people requested support from their council last year, an increase of 100,000 since 2015/16. This rate of increase has been driven by demographic trends. People are living longer with multiple or complex needs and therefore might require short or long-term social care.
Its time to take action and with knowledge comes power
We are pleased to announce the 2nd Lapis Health and Events Community Care Show. The aim of the show is to reduce the worry and pressure around seeking care for a family member or friend
The free event will offer information and short seminars around choosing the right type of care at what can be a frightening and demoralising time for families.
It will be hosted by domiciliary care experts Lapis Health and Events. The free Community Care Show runs from 10:00-15:00 at The Wickham Community Centre on Friday 20th March.
This year we are pleased and to say that we are being supported by newly elected MP for Meon Valley, Flick Drummond, who says:
“This is a great opportunity for members of the public to come and find out more about the care sector and the options available for existing care and future needs. I would like to thank all those involved and Lapis Care for organising the event. I am really looking forward to attending.”

Now that school is due to start, I have had time to sit down and do some painting and planning. I hope to make some planters in September. My thought is that now autumn is on the way, and we will be more in our homes, having something colourful and bright to put your indoor plants in, would be rather nice....#homemadeplanters #forwardplanning #experimentingwithcolours #inthestudio #makersmovement #handmadeceramics #indoorplantsdecor https://www.instagram.com/p/B154niygNSD/?igshid=1wzqwbloqmeoa

Quote of the Day: Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose
We all have bad days and moments that we wish we could do-over, but as Lyndon B. Johnson once observed, "Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose." #ForwardPlanning #OvercomingFailure #QuoteoftheDay Read the full article
Personally I’ve had quite a bad weekend with regards to my diet. I managed a couple of great nutrient-dense meals but also had some delicious home-cooked sweet treats and carby dishes at a friends house for dinner. But I’m not going to look back. I’m looking forward. As always, I never waste my Sundays. Neither should you. Reflect on your week and weekend. Plan for a near-perfect Monday and Tuesday when your motivation is high. Have only good meals on these two days and at least one intense workout! Save the cheat foods till Wednesday if you can. Don’t feel guilty about a bad weekend or that you haven’t worked out for ages. Always look forward. I do. #forwardplanning #alwaysworkoutonamonday #tomorrowisanotherday #eatrealfood https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv82Ye9AVDL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xi42jdfiiite
I'm also guilty of blaming my circumstances for what I dont have sometimes. I quickly notice this 'poor me' attitude most times and sort myself out with some personal development to get myself back on track. If you dont do personal development, I recommend taking a look at this link: http://bit.ly/2MDIMXm posted on Instagram - http://bit.ly/2sNAQtf
